Braud Jakarta completely exceeded my expectations. Everything we ordered was genuinely outstanding, and it’s honestly one of the best café experiences I’ve had in Jakarta. We tried the Truffle Scrambled Eggs, Steak Sandwich, and Smoked Salmon Rösti, and every single dish was beautifully executed. It wasn’t just good—it was the kind of meal that makes you keep talking about it long after you’ve left. Every bite was packed with flavour, and you could really tell that quality ingredients were used. The café itself is equally impressive. The ambience is warm, cosy, and beautifully designed, making it the perfect place to unwind. I especially loved the open kitchen concept—it adds so much character to the space and lets you appreciate the craftsmanship behind every dish. The service was excellent too. The staff were friendly, attentive, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The background music was also spot on; it complemented the atmosphere perfectly and made the whole café feel even more inviting. From what I understand, most of their breads and pastries are made in-house, and you can absolutely taste the difference. The freshness and quality really shine through. Braud is definitely a place I’d return to whenever I’m back in Jakarta. A memorable experience from the food right through to the service and ambience.
View on GoogleI had a quick bite at Braud Cafe in the form of a late-ish breakfast. It was fine, but I found the Bali outlet's food offerings more appealing, although it has been a while since I was there last. Jakarta has an increasing number of places for a late breakfast or early lunch and Braud has a dedicated menu for such instances. The Smoked Salmon Rosti I ordered first was excellent. The potato base was well done, it had a generous serving of smoked salmon on top of it and the presentation with the poached egg on top was excellent. It was not heavy at all and perfect for my after workout meal. I also ordered the Pickle and Cheese, which is described on the menu as a hot pressed sandwich with a number of cheeses as well as onions, pickles and jalapeno. The dish looked like a grilled cheese sandwich in sour dough but had way too much cheese inside and was therefore much too heavy for me and I wished I had not ordered it. I am sure it was not bad and some people may love it but for me it was just too heavy. Braud Cafe is a nice enough place to sit down for a quick bit. They also offer a good range for pastries and their menu has a breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner section which items that seems to gradually change during the day.
View on GoogleI will be sharing my last experience on 21st of june 2026z. I went here twice both for brunch and often ordered online. Ive tried their Honey and brie salt bread before and like it. One of my top pick for salt bread in jakarta (I eat unhealthy amounts of salt bread). NOTE : BETTER EATEN AT THE CAFE!!! Like 10x better (hyperbole) Asian eggs and steak cooked medium. BRO 😭 it was so good the sauce (thailaney, sour salty fresh and has coriander) was very good and make the whole thing very less heavy for brunch or early morning. BEST FRIED EGGS IVE EATEN FOR A WHILE LOL. Truffle scrambled eggs. Come with a sourdough. Well they are famous for their sourdough for a reason, solid sourdough. Very delicious but i feel like theres 10 (3-4) eggs in here lol (hyperbole obvi). Was also very good for brunch. Have also tried their tiramisu and bried bread (THEY ARE MAKING A COMEBACK IN JULY BTW) and was also very delicious and solid. Ive tried their matcha and its just classic culinary matcha. It was okay.
View on GoogleVisited for brunch on my second trip here after not coming back for a while. My first visit was only for dessert, so I was excited to finally try the food. I came with a friend after our morning workout, and we arrived around 10.30 AM. The restaurant was already full, but the wait was surprisingly reasonable. The staff handling the waiting list were polite, efficient, and very accommodating. The dining room was lively, with tables placed fairly close together. It could get a little noisy during peak hours, but the atmosphere was still enjoyable. I ordered a café latte along with the beef ragu tagliatelle and added scrambled eggs. Everything was well prepared, the portion size was just right, and I'd easily rate the meal a 9 out of 10. The service really stood out. Everyone was attentive and made us feel welcome throughout the visit. If you're looking for a reliable brunch spot, this place is definitely worth checking out.
View on GoogleAfter reopening, Braud Jakarta looks even better. The design and layout are on point, super comfy and cozy. I ordered the charcoal chicken and it was really tender and tasty, sooo good. The fried octopus with chimichurri was also delicious, and the beef pepperoni pizza? Loved it. For dessert, I had the tiramisu and it did not disappoint. Shoutout to our waiter, Mas Davi, who kindly gave us a complimentary prosecco sorbet and it was just as amazing. Very recommended.
