Sezai Zorlu, born in İskenderun, in the south of Türkiye, to a farming family where respect for nature, the land, and honest ingredients shaped everyday life. From an early age, I learned that great food begins with patience, seasonality, and care for what the earth provides.

Dining at Turkuaz feels like stepping into a warm corner of Turkey in the middle of Jakarta. The meal starts strong with the mezze platter, which is perfect for sharing and offers a great introduction to the variety of flavors on the menu. The couscous tabouleh adds a fresh, vibrant contrast with its light texture and bright, herb-forward flavors. For mains, the iskender kebab stands out with its tender meat and rich combination of sauce and accompaniments. The lamb chop is another highlight — juicy, flavorful, and cooked with care, allowing the natural richness of the meat to shine without feeling overwhelming. If you’re dining with a group, the sultan grill platter is a great choice. It brings together an assortment of grilled items that let you sample different textures and flavors in one serving. Overall, Turkuaz offers an experience with flavorful dishes, inviting ambience, and a menu that makes you want to come back and try more.

Authentic Turkish food. 5/5 for the food. So fresh and tasty. Met the chef personally and thanked him for the food. Adding to the quality of food - is the interior design. You feel like a palace. Intricate details on chairs and sofas. Not to mention their unique frames on the wall and the cutlery. The service was equally good. Different waiters were eager to help and tend to the needs. This is the best Turkish food I’ve had outside of Middle East and UK. Yes, it is expensive but you get exactly what you pay for - quality and taste. Top notch!

A family favorite, reimagined (new location, slightly modified menu, modified but still beautiful interior). We ordered the Zeytinyagli Humus, Babaganuc, Ispanakli Peynirli Borek, Etli Gozleme, Ozel Kunzulu Ekmek (lost the photo but this is a must try), Pita Pockets, Iskender Kebab, and Hunkar Begendi, all of which were delicious. Would totally recommend for yummy food, good vibes, and a taste of Turkish cuisine.

Still the best Turkish food in town. Finally tried them again after >1 year. Quality is the same in their new location. My kids love the bread and hummus, and also the apple tea. For me the lamb kebab is the champion. Classic.

It was the best Turkish restaurant in Jakarta 10 years ago. It still is today. This year they just moved to a new bigger place in Ciranjang. Much comfier. Wawan, the manager that we’ve known for more than 10 years, always greets us every time we visit the restaurant. Excellent service.
