Warm bowls, louder flavors, and comfort korean dish. This place nails the vibe, cozy. I came for lunch and tried their gukbap. Deep, rich, and seriously satisfying. The broth is clean but packed with flavor, and the jeroan adds that bold, authentic touch, tender, not overpowering, just right. And the banchan also delicious. Must come back and try other food.

I had a mixed experience at Yang Dae Pal. The place is a bit run down, but the owner and all the waiters are very nice, friendly, and accommodating. Their selection of banchan (side dishes) quite vary, their kimchi was so good and perfectly marinated. They have this sundae ggukbap soup, it was a bit bland at first, but after you add a bit of salt then it’ll be very comforting, flavorful, and tasted very authentic. The sundubu jjigae was also well done, nicely spicy with a rich broth. Unfortunately, the fried mandu was a letdown as it was overly oily and lacked flavor. Overall, I’d still recommend Yang Dae Pal for their gukbap and jjigae. Maybe next visit will try their gopchang / makchang and other soup.

Caught attention from this restaurant when the menu shows various intestine at very reasonable price. Came here for first time and order a pork soup and one plate of daechang, the daechang is grilled with bean sprouts/mushroom and garlic as sides. Overall for the daechang I think is definitely good value, but it's not as tasty somehow compared with other place, but overall is a good experience. The other dishes like samgyeupsal is also very good value in my opinion.

One of the best Korean restaurants in Jakarta and truly a hidden gem. We ordered the Modeum and fried rice, and both dishes were excellent. The food quality was great, and the staff as well as the owner were very humble and friendly. Highly recommended.

I ordered modeum, which includes daechang, gopchang, and makchang. I love daechang the most, followed by gopchang, and then makchang. All of them are so fresh and already well-marinated, so they don't smell at all (I don't really like to eat beef intestine in Indonesian dishes, but I love this). Daechang is a must-try; it just melts in your mouth like butter. The gopchang is also tasty, but I just love daechang more 😋. It's served with some chives and bean sprouts. The staff will cook the dish in front of you. After you're finished, you can ask them to make fried rice with the leftovers. The fried rice tastes amazing, with lots of flavor from the fats. Also, the tofu banchan was really delicious! The place is a bit small, but they also have an upstairs room. The owner is so friendly; they even cooked the modeum for the table next to us. This place deserves more recognition!
