Went here because of friend’s recommendation. Had their seollongtang (beef bone broth soup). It lives up to its reputation and wait-list, definitely something that brings you back later on The broth is rich yet light (regular seollongtang), rich and thick (collagen seollongtang). However you can still taste the gaminess of the beef meat itself. Probably due to various and generous amount of beef meat from the seollongtang itself. Anyway you can even refill your rice twice here. Another thing that caught my bud taste is its truffle cheese potato pajeon which taste heavenly. Just imagine on how crisp you fry the potato pancake topped with truffle sauce and cheese. The savory, umami, and sweetness mixed as one. Super delicious. Recommended! Another thing, do not be afraid to order it’s kimchi mandu because they are also generous in its meat filling with very less of sour kimchi taste. Just be aware that you need to be here early to avoid long waiting list

The Seolleongtang (Korean ox bone soup) was better than I expected, and the minari jeon (water parsley pancake) was impressively crispy with a rich, nutty flavor. The bits of squid mixed into the pancake also added an enjoyable texture. The spicy mixed sashimi cold noodles (bibim hoe naengmyeon) exceeded my expectations as well. The noodles were similar to those used in Pyongyang-style naengmyeon, while the seasoning was much bolder and more intense. It felt like drinking a warm iced Americano—an unusual but surprisingly satisfying combination. Overall, I was very pleased with the meal and would like to come back to try some of the other dishes next time. The tteokgalbi perfectly captured the balance of sweet and savory flavors. The portion was a bit smaller than I had hoped, which was slightly disappointing, but it still made for an excellent side dish.

Saw the place during a trip to Dharmawangsa Square and got curious but finally tried it now, the space is small with open kitchen type so for large groups will have to wait a bit longer for a table. For 1-2 persons, they have bar seats where you can see the chef and the crew cooking your meal. Ordered special Seolleongtang at first and decided to order Kimchi Mandu after seeing a lot of Kimchi mandu orders coming out from the kitchen (and frankly looks delicious as well). The Seolleongtang is very good, you can match the seasonings to your taste as well since they provided salt, pepper, and spicy sauce on each table; the meat is very tender, and while I am not a big fan of beef tongue; their boiled beef tongue is so good and tender, plus easy to eat. The Seolleongtang set came with few banchan + sauces, gotta say the fresh kimchi is superb 10/10 (I forgot that you can ask for refill here so I won’t skip that again on my next visit haha) Besides the great Seolleongtang, their beef kimchi mandu is so goooood!!!! Would totally come back solely for that kimchi mandu, wondering how it taste combined with white rice. Overall a great experience for first-time korean restaurant goers, will absolutely come back to visit.

Late lunch at Tang Ban Resto Ordered: • Collagen Seolleongtang • Tteokgalbi The meal comes with rice, drinks, and full Korean-style side dishes, so it’s actually quite affordable and well-balanced. Seolleongtang: I didn’t expect much, but it turned out really good. The broth is light but has a deep umami flavor—very comforting and not overwhelming, even for a big bowl. It tastes even better when you add the seasoned salt and black pepper from the table. There’s also a green chili paste (not sure what it is), but it pairs really well. Perfect food for a cold, rainy day. Tteokgalbi: Sweet and savory, like a Korean-style meatball. Tasty, but nothing too special. I’ve been here a few times, and the taste is always consistent. The grilled dishes are okay, but the seolleongtang is definitely my favorite—simple, but really satisfying. One of my go-to spots when I’m in the Dharmawangsa area.

We had a quick lunch during our visit to Dharmawangsa Square. This restaurant was small and really packed. They don’t receive reservations, so you need to directly come and queuing. We ordered their collagen seolleongtang, the broth was bland but you can adjusting it with additional black pepper and salt. The cut of beef brisket, beef shank was big. The portion was suitable for one person. You can also order their kimchi mandu and nokdu bindaetteok because it’s really good. Overall we enjoyed our lunch at this restaurant. The service was quick and good.
