Ever felt that chinese food is hard to find south of Melawai area? This restaurant in Dharmawangsa is a breath of fresh air. Concept, portion, and price point all executed well. Modern, kopitiam concept, personal portion size, and friendly price point. It was a well crafted and well thought out. The fried rice was good and fragrant. The fried chicken and tahu garam was also good but not overpowering. For ordering all three dishes, I'm only spending under IDR 100K, which for an elite South Jakarta area is almost unthinkable.
View on GoogleFound this restaurant while looking for home-style Chinese food, and I can see why it’s recommended. Overall, the food was really good. My favorites were the salted egg shrimp, ngohiong, and kangkung belacan.t They were all flavorful and satisfying. The only dish that disappointed me was the Szechuan beef. I expected proper slices of beef, but it came with the meat chopped into very tiny bits, almost like beef crumbs. It honestly felt like I was eating leftover pieces, which was a shame. I hope they can improve this dish. The restaurant has a quiet, simple atmosphere that feels like a traditional Chinese hawker. It’s clean, and the service was good too.
View on GoogleOverall, the food here is quite good for a Chinese restaurant. The standout dish is definitely the fried meatballs, which I think are a must-try. I wouldn’t recommend the Hong Kong-style fried rice, as the beef slices and the overall seasoning don’t complement each other very well. The fried noodles have a nice smoky wok hei flavor, and the noodles themselves have a great texture. However, the topping-to-noodle ratio is a bit off, with considerably more toppings than noodles, making the dish feel somewhat unbalanced. The Fuyunghai and Nanking Chicken are fairly average and don’t particularly stand out. As for the pricing, it’s on average side, but overall the dining experience is still quite enjoyable. Also the cleanliness of the utensils, plates need to be improved as well. Keep it up 👏🏻👏🏻
View on GoogleOne of the Chinese food restaurants in the South Jakarta area and serves Hong Kong-style food with an atmosphere like a restaurant in the Kowloon area, Hong Kong. No Pork and No Lard. Located in the Wijaya office area so parking is relatively easy. The portion is small so 1 portion of side dish is enough for just two people to share. The taste is delicious and distinctive like the Hong Kong version of Chinese food. While the price is relatively affordable for the location and taste. Want to come here again. Today that’s problem with the water in this area, so that’ why they used it plastic container.
View on Googlefood came quick and we devoured it even quicker 🤩🙏 i was excited about the squid but it came out pretty tough but all of the sauces that came with our food was extraordinary 😋 additionally, the teh tarik was balanced in terms of sweetness which was a treat 🫶🏻
