Today came to MamaYoo to try her Rose Tteokbokki! We came with 4 pax and ordered a Family Combo package with the addition of Odeng as a side-dish and Corn Tea as well. Family Combo consists of: 1. Rose Tteokbokki = 1 portion (single portion) 2. Dakgangjeong Chicken (sweet-soy boneless chicken) = 1 portion (large portion) 3. Tuna Kimbab = 1 serving (get 10 pcs) 4. Bulgogi Kimbab = 1 portion (get 10 pcs) ** My review so far (based on my personal taste): 1. Rose Tteokbokki: 4/5 Delicious! But.. it's not just my taste palate and my preference HEHEHE but the tteok is chewy, not difficult to bite. In terms of taste, the rose sauce is delicious, but it's not too savory (I think this is an authentic taste from Korea so I can understand). Overall, delicious kokkk!! :333 2. Dakgangjeong Chicken (sweet-soy boneless chicken): 4,5/5 This is so delicious & yum OH GOD!!!!!! One portion ((I think yaaa)) get about 10-12 pieces of boneles chicken and small pieces of tteok as a complement. Ofc the tteok is chewy and not hard at all. The most gong is the chicken itself. The size is too big for one-big bite size HAHAHAHA juicy & tender too!!! You can still feel the crispy from the chicken skin which is coated with the sauce very well~ highly recommended!! 😭👏🏻😭👏🏻😭 3. Bulgogi & Tuna Kimbab: 4/5 For these 2 flavor variants, personally I prefer Bulgogi because it GONG in the mouth- it's sweeter and well-balanced compared to Tuna which is flat aff ((sowrry 😭🙏🏻)) - and somehow, there is no danmujiiiiii Aaaaa 🥲💔 a bit SAD BECAUSE THAT'S THE DELICIOUS PART OF KIMBAB ITSELF HUHUHU~ 4. Odeng (Eomuk): 3/5 Just okay, for me. Nothing special~ but the Odeng is bouncy-bouncy and fat too HEHEHE so I like it!! Warming my stomach well~ Oiya - they also give a small portion of fresh kimchii!! The kimchi is fresh, it's just not savory for my tongue which is sick as an Indonesian ((hidup medok 🫵🏻🫵🏻🫵🏻)) HAHA but it's still enjoyable kok!! Have a great lunch at MamaYoo!!! 😖🥰🤍

Went here not at the peak hours, just few customers. The restaurant was quiet, perfect place for me who wanted eat peacefully. Spacious, with many tables inside. Ordered and paid first. I ordered their sundubu jjigae, it came with rice and kimchi. The thing was, the night before, i already ate another sundubu jjigae at the other Korean restaurant, i could say this Mama Yoo’s sundubu jjigae was better and definitely nailed it. The taste was delicious, the thickness of the broth was quite perfect, and the portion, yes, worth the price. The corn tea was okay, a normal corn tea, free refill. And bought their tuna kimbap for a takeaway. The rice was thin, the size and the fillings were generous. The seasoning was not that bold, but still nice and tasty. Overall, i was satisfied with my first visit. Hopefully they were still the same at my second time. Since i saw many good reviews about their rose tteokbokki, i wanna try it too. Gracias ~

Maybe I should called it as one of the best Korean Resto that has Halal Certification! The price is reasonable when you consider the portion and the area of Dharmawangsa. Also, about their cozy place. For the menu, the taste was good, especially Dakgangjeong! Still crispy outside even they gave us a plenty of sauce, and the texture of chicken really juicy. Thank you for your services.

Stopped by Mama Yoo early in the morning around 9:15 AM — and thank goodness they were already open! Always a win to find a place that serves good food that early. I ordered a bibimbap for takeaway, and for dine-in, my dad and I shared shrimp gimbap and gochujang dakgangjeong. The shrimp gimbap was actually really nice. I like how the rice layer is thin and not too heavy, so you can really taste the fillings. The only thing is, I personally prefer a more classic gimbap filling (like danmuji, etc.), while this one uses bok choy, which isn’t really my favorite. But overall, still a solid gimbap. For the gochujang dakgangjeong, don’t be fooled by the bright red color — it’s not spicy at all. Even my dad, who doesn’t eat spicy food, could enjoy it comfortably. What I really liked is that the chicken stayed crispy even though it was coated in a generous amount of sauce. Sweet, savory, and still crunchy — a good combo. Overall, it was a pleasant visit with comforting Korean dishes. Definitely a nice option, especially if you’re looking for non-spicy Korean food that still delivers on flavor ✨
