I found Iruka Izakaya while exploring M Bloc Space back in December 2025. I chose to dine in, and it turns out they don’t just serve ramen — their pastries are also pretty good.

M Bloc is one of the hype places to visit in Jakarta. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth stopping by. This restaurant offers Japanese cuisine, including ramen and yakitori, but I prefer to enjoy their bento box. I ordered the chicken katsu bento with vegetable tempura and added a bowl of soup. The food was served hot, freshly cooked, and didn’t take long to arrive. The soup was also served hot and made a perfect complement to the main dish. To finish the meal, I ordered an iced Americano, which had a strong espresso flavor, nice!! The staff were friendly and provided great service. Another plus point, there was no need to queue. Overall, this is a highly recommended place to try if you’re in the neighborhood.

Ordered Yakitori Bento. No hassle in ordering and finding seats. Quick preparation time. Thoughts on the food: -Yakitori is too dry for the chicken meat... sadly this supposed to be the main star of the dish -Rice was too soggy/mushy, I expect a Hokben type of rice. A bit lacking in portion. -Tempuras is good addition for texture, however the sauce/Tentsuyu amount is too much. -Salad is ok, color can be better by adding carrots. -Miso soup's flavor is too light for my liking.

The food was delicious and well-presented. The chicken skin was tender, the vegetables were fresh, and the seasoning was perfectly balanced. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was comfortable. I would definitely come back again.

At first, i just went to Mbloc casually to find something to eat. I looked at the menu and asked the staff for a recommendation on what’s good. She’s said, “Bento.” So i ordered the Torikaraage Bento. OMG, it’s seriously delicious and the portion is huge!!! You all have to try it!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
