I visited Haemaru Korean Restaurant back in 2022, when my TikTok feed was completely flooded with ganjang gejang videos. 😂 Of course, I got influenced and had to try it myself. We ordered the Yangnyeom Gejang (raw crab marinated in a sweet and spicy Korean sauce), a cheese-topped fried chicken (I honestly forgot the exact name since it's been a while), and Sundubu Jjigae. 🦀 Yangnyeom Gejang was definitely the highlight. The crab was fresh, sweet, and served chilled, which made it really enjoyable. My advice is to eat it as soon as it's served. Since it's raw seafood, leaving it out for too long can make it develop a slightly fishy smell, so it's best enjoyed while it's still cold. 🍲 The Sundubu Jjigae was comforting as always. The silky soft tofu soaked up the spicy broth beautifully, making it the perfect warm dish to balance the cold marinated crab. 🍗 We also ordered a fried chicken topped with cheese, and while I can't remember the exact menu name, I remember it being crispy, juicy, and generously covered with melted cheese—a classic Korean comfort food that's easy to share. One thing I always love about Korean restaurants is the banchan, and Haemaru didn't disappoint. Their kimchi is the fresh style, not the heavily fermented version, so it's crunchy with a mild tang instead of being overly sour. They also served Kimchi Jeon (kimchi pancakes) as one of the side dishes, which was a pleasant surprise and probably one of my favorite banchan that day. Overall, Haemaru was a fun place to finally experience the viral Korean raw crab trend. If you're curious about gejang but don't want to fly all the way to Korea, this is a solid place to start. 🦀🇰🇷

First time here in order to look for yangnyeom gejang in Jakarta. We order the sundubu jiggae and yangnyeom gejang. Fortunately, we got 2 compliment foods, gyeran jjim (telur kukus) & kimchi jeon. Thankyou haemaru 🫶🏼🫶🏼 All the foods were superrbbbb delicious!!! Especially the yangnyeom gejang was so fresh & the taste was exactly the same when I ate in Seoul back then. And for all the foods we got, the price was so affordable. I highly recommend this restaurant!!! Def will come back again 👍🏼😋🫰🏻

Came in around 11.30 AM on Saturday, no wait. I suggest sitting at the right corner immediately after entering the place to be near the AC. Only ordered their cold noodles with raw sashimi. I've been eating cold noodles many times in Korea but I'm confident to say this one is the best one I've had in my life, especially during Jakarta heat! 😭👍 This dish was among the special weekdays lunch menu, which wasn't listed in google maps. If you have the chance to visit this place, let the owner know about it! Servers are very friendly too. My favorite banchan would be the caramelized fried tofu, haven't seen this served in any other Korean restaurant

Food is great and service is awesome. Sasimi is very fresh and chewy. Of course other side menus are wonderful too. The only downside was that the place looked a bit old-fashioned.
