The place has a cozy Japanese-style ambiance, making it comfortable for casual meals with friends or family. The interior feels warm and inviting, and even when it gets busy, the atmosphere is still enjoyable. The food tastes good with well-balanced flavors. Portions are quite satisfying, and the presentation is neat. Service was friendly and attentive, and the staff were helpful when explaining the menu. The location in Blok M is convenient, though parking can be a bit challenging during peak hours. Overall, Futago is a nice option if you’re craving Japanese food in a comfortable and relaxed setting.

Went during the day in Ramadan month, so I finally experienced this cute little udon shop quite empty with no queue 😂 I think on a normal day the queue can go a little crazy. Always loved the creamy miso udon, such a warm comforting hearty meal that never fails to leave me satisfied. When I’m hungry though I could finish the whole bowl in 5 slurps I think. Small piece of advice; enjoy your udon bowl slowly because you will miss it when it’s gone LOL It is sooo good and goated. Keep it up!!

Quite popular Japanese restaurant in the area. The Abura Ramen is good but too salty. Oyakodon is good. Pangsit Nori is ok. Interesting on Gyoza Colok; with the peanut sauce as topping, it taste like batagor

I recently ate at Futago Ya, and honestly, it was quite disappointing. I ordered the creamy miso udon and karaage chicken. The chicken itself had good flavor, but the texture was quite tough and hard to chew, which took away from the experience. As for the udon, the noodles were soft and nicely cooked, but the broth was… off. The “creamy miso” didn’t taste like it used milk or cream—instead, it felt like they used a lot of butter. The buttery taste was overpowering, lingered in my mouth, and made the whole dish feel heavy. It completely masked the miso flavor, so you couldn’t really taste anything else. Overall, the flavor combination just didn’t work for me—it tasted quite strange. On the bright side, the atmosphere was really nice and chill, which made the dining experience more pleasant.

One of those places that quietly wins you over from the first bite. Tucked into the lively streets, it feels warm and unpretentious, perfect for both quick lunches and long, relaxed dinners. The ramen is rich and comforting, the gyoza is crisp and flavorful, and every dish feels thoughtfully prepared. What makes it special isn’t just the food, but the atmosphere friendly staff, soft chatter, and the sense that you’re sharing a small moment of Japan in the heart Blok M. 🔳🔳🔳
