We had an outstanding dinner at Convivium tonight. This place is maybe lesser know but without a doubt much and much better than so many of the fancy places in town who may be excellent at hyping themselves up on social media but fail miserably at delivering decent food on your plate. No such issues at Convivium. This restaurant is decidedly low-key, but all of the food we ordered tonight was excellent. We started with a tomato soup and a mushroom soup and two pastas, one with massive scallops and one with baked tuna. My personal highlight tonight was the truly excellent Rustica pizza, which has a number of pork cuts on it. One of the better pizzas I have had in town, and I cannot wait to have it again. My better half ordered what turned out to be a massive chunk of salmon. Although we were already well-fed, we could not pass on some of the excellent sounding desserts and order a Chocolate Lava cake and a Caramel Melt. Both turned out to be good choices. The prices at Convivium are amazingly low and so the value for money here is excellent. With so many more tempting options on the menu, I have no doubt we will be back soon.

🍕 Convivium – A Lunch Date Worth Lingering For This afternoon’s lunch date at Convivium felt less like an ordinary meal and more like a gentle escape from the noise of the day. The first thing that strikes you is the atmosphere—calm, warm, and effortlessly elegant. It is the sort of place that makes you instinctively slow down. Perfect for a relaxed lunch, a meaningful conversation, opening your laptop for a few productive hours, or simply indulging in those delightfully sophisticated “socialite-style” chats over good food. A lovely practical touch: free valet parking, which immediately makes the experience feel smoother and far less stressful—an underrated luxury, honestly. I chose the pizza-making package, priced at IDR 60K per person, and for that price, it feels surprisingly worth it. There is something oddly satisfying about crafting your own pizza and then having it baked fresh—it turns lunch into an experience, not just a meal. For the dishes, I ordered Shakshuka and Caprese, and both were genuinely delightful. Fresh, balanced, flavourful, and most importantly—not heavy. The kind of food that leaves you satisfied without that sleepy, overly full regret afterwards. Delicious, clean, and wonderfully comforting. And the pizza? Being able to bake your own creation makes it even better. Slightly theatrical, slightly childish, entirely brilliant. Honestly—gokil is the only proper word for it. Convivium is not just a place to eat; it is a place to pause, breathe, and stay a little longer than planned.

This restaurant offers a fun DIY experience where you can make your own pizza. Aside from pizzas, they have a wide selection of cakes, including carrot cake, basque cheesecake, and putu cake. However, the lava cake was too sweet for my taste, as both the cake and the accompanying ice cream are highly sweetened. They top it with roasted oats, which doesn't fit the texture; crushed peanuts would have been a much better choice. Parking & Space: The indoor area is very spacious, but car parking is extremely limited. Price: Standard cafe pricing for the area. A single portion of tiramisu is IDR 60K (before tax).

Convivium has been established quite long ago but seems they revamp the concept into more young, hangout cafe and dessert place than a resto. They still have the cakes but they have a partnership with Expat coffee roaster that attracts coffee lovers. They have nice concept of DYO pizza making and cake painting which are interesting. However I gave 4 stars because : coffee quality is a bit disappointing for Expat and the cake tastes a bit undercooked.
