me & my friend went there for lunch on tuesday, fortunately it was not too crowded so we didn't have to wait for a table, the system is simple, you stamp all the foods & drinks you want to order, take it to the cashier, pay, and wait. didn't get to try the curry yet, but the onigiri was amazing! I tried the kani one (as you can see on the photo), the salted egg tuna, and the chicken katsu mentai one, man I gotta tell you all of em are very niceeee, especially with the onigiri broth, it's very comforting, the broth. if I could rank the onigiri I've tried, I think it would be 1. salted egg tuna, 2. chicken katsu mentai, and 3. kani mayo something, this is based on my opinion tho since I don't really like imitation crab! the mayo is very refreshing, acidic, and sweet, and the kani taste a bit artificial for me, I enjoy the rice and the seasoning they put at the outer part, it was very nice. the chicken one was pretty good, I like the taste, there's a bit of spice in it, the chicken was surprisingly still kinds crunchy! and for the tuna, I gotta be honest, I don't really like fish— cooked fish to be exact. it just tends to be fishy, and I don't have any expectation of it either since i thought it would be fishy because of the salted egg too right, but it wasn't woohoo! i mean, tbh, it was a bit fishy but not the one where I couldn't eat it, also I think it's too salty for me but what can I say it is salted egg.

Tried Cluck & Curry and honestly, it’s more about the vibe than the food. The place looks nice and modern, but the taste is very standard—nothing really stands out. Ordered the cheesy burger curry. Presentation was decent, but the flavor was just average. The curry lacked depth and overall felt pretty ordinary. It was also very crowded with a busy aisle and quite noisy, likely because it was the weekend and there was an event going on—so not the most comfortable dining experience. For the price, I expected something more memorable. Good for a quick visit if you’re nearby, but not somewhere I’d go out of my way for.

Ordering here is quite fun. Instead of telling the staff, you get a paper menu and stamp your choices (carbs, protein, curry, spice level, etc.). Such a cute and interactive concept, like the one in the picture I shared! I love that you can fully customize your meal: • Choose your carbs (rice, mashed potato, etc.) • Pick your protein • Select the curry base • Adjust the spice level It makes the whole experience feel personal and a bit playful. The curry itself was rich and comforting, with that thick Japanese-style texture. Perfect for when you’re craving something warm and satisfying. The crispy topping added a nice crunch on top of the soft omelette and curry sauce.

This place is truly hidden, and not in the "hidden gem" cliché kind of way! You have to go upstairs, past a furniture store, to find it tucked away at the very end. But once you get there, it's worth the mini-quest. The curry is delicious, and for the price, the meat portion is a great deal. Just a pro-tip: skip the butter garlic rice and go for the original. It lets the curry's flavor really shine! Because it's so hidden, it was super quiet when I visited, which was a nice bonus. The space isn't huge, so if you're with a big group, it's probably best to call ahead. I'll definitely be back for more next time I'm craving a tasty, affordable curry.

Cluck & Curry serves more than just chicken curry, offering options like hamburg steak and sausages as well. The rich curry sauce pairs well with different proteins, making the dishes hearty and satisfying. The casual setting is great for a relaxed meal in Melawai.
