Definetely one of my go-to comfort thai cuisines, everytime I go, chao phraya never disappoints. With an affordable price range that comes with exceptional thai dishes and desserts and friendly service, my family always goes here for authentic thai cuisine. Their pineapple fried rice has huge portions with actual huge chunks of pineapples visually assembled well. A classic i order is the pad thai which always has the perfect and balanced mix of savory and all sorts of seasonings with high quality prawn and vegeatables with glass noodles that melts in your mouth. The prawn curry and mantau bread is also a must get, it is extremely creamy with the authentic prawn flavor served with not too oily and perfectly sized man tou bread.
View on GoogleIf you are looking for an elevated Thai dining experience in South Jakarta, Chao Phraya Thai Fine Cuisine is a nice to visit. From the moment the dishes arrived, it was clear that they prioritize both presentation and authentic flavor profiles. The Highlights: • The Classics: The Pad Thai was nicely balanced—not too sweet—and served with generous, fresh prawns. The Som Tam (papaya salad) had that essential spicy and tangy kick that really woke up the palate. • From the Grill: Both the Neua Yang (grilled beef) and the Kai Ping (chicken skewers) were incredibly tender and well-marinated. The dipping sauces served alongside them added a great depth of flavor. • Tom Yum Namsai: I really appreciated the clarity and zest of the Tom Yum Namsai. It was light, aromatic, and packed with fresh seafood and herbs. • Main Course: The Kraprao Neua was savory and bold, making it the perfect companion to a bowl of warm jasmine rice. The presentation of the food is stunning, many dishes come with intricate carrot carvings and are served on banana leaves, which adds to the fine dining feel. The service was attentive and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxed dinner. Overall, a fantastic spot for anyone craving high-quality Thai food. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu!
View on GoogleSuch a hidden gem — quiet, cozy, and perfect for family dinners. The Thai food at Chao Praya Thai Cuisine is seriously so good. I’ve tried the curry and the crab, and they were absolutely amazing. Honestly one of the best Thai family restaurants I’ve been to lately. parking is convenient, the service is proper, and the whole place just feels comfortable and well-maintained. Will absolutely keep coming back!
View on GoogleI love love the food at Chao Praya - it is definitely one of the better Thai restaurants in town. I have been here 3 times and enjoyed the food every visit. Every dish I have tried has been tasty and just the right level of spicy and salty. The flavours are deep and pretty authentic especially when compared to other Thai restaurants in Jakarta. For Thai cuisine, the food isn't cheap, but the taste is well worth the price. Portions are good for sharing, and i would recommend coming here in a group so you can order multiple dishes and eat them family style. This restaurant is a great place to satisfy your Thai food cravings as the restaurant is never too busy, always clean, and service is excellent. Its never hard to get a booking here. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice and calm. There is no loud music and it feels like youre eating inside your own house. The only down side is that they close at 10pm so its not good for late night meals and drinks after dinner. Parking has never been a problem because the restaurant is rarely packed. Truly an underrated restaurant that deserves more hype!!
