I tried this place because, not gonna lie, the picture of the bakso campur with daging do be looking real good. The bakso itself has a nice crunch to it, and the tendons are chunky just the way I liked it, albeit not that meaty so that's unfortunate. The soup was rich, but it was leaning on the sweet side, which is not my favorite type of soup, unfortunately pt. 2. Luckily we got table salt available yay!

Don't let the old-school vibe of Melawai Plaza fool you. Tucked away inside is this absolute gem for authentic Javanese meatballs (bakso). This is the real deal for anyone craving that classic, comforting Solo flavor, and it's clearly a favorite among locals. I ordered the "Bakso Tahu" and it was fantastic, just like the photo shows. The "kuah" (broth) is the real star here. It's incredibly clear, light, yet deeply savory and rich with beef "kaldu" (broth flavor). It's not heavy or oily at all, which is exactly how a proper Solo-style bakso should be. The meatballs themselves are top-notch. The "bakso urat" (tendon meatball) has a wonderful, rustic texture, and the "bakso halus" (smooth meatball) is perfectly bouncy and meaty. I got mine complete with "bihun" (rice vermicelli) and "tahu bakso" (tofu filled with meatball), which soaked up that delicious broth perfectly. This isn't a fancy, modern restaurant; it's a humble, no-fuss "warung" (eatery) that focuses 100% on the quality of the food. Service is fast, efficient, and the price is very reasonable for the quality and portion. If you're in the Blok M area and want a genuine, comforting, and delicious bowl of bakso, this is one of the best spots in South Jakarta. A must-visit for bakso lovers! Will definitely be back.

Very recommended if you're craving for bakso especially during the rainy season. Went here on weekday for dinner around 6.30 pm and there are still several empty seats. The texture of the bakso is very tender and you can tell that it contains lots of meat especially the bakso urat. The broth is also savory, not the MSG kind of savory but one that comes from the beef, which is very good. Price wise it is also quite affordable for a bowl of bakso with this quality. Will definitely return. 👍

I recently dined at Bakso Bondan Solo in Blok M, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The restaurant specializes in meatball soup and noodles, and they certainly know how to make a delicious meal. The food was excellent, with rich, flavorful broth and perfectly cooked meatballs and noodles. Every bite was a delight, making it clear that they use high-quality ingredients. The service was another highlight. The staff were quick and friendly, ensuring that I had everything I needed without having to wait long. It made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Additionally, the prices were fair, offering great value for the quality of the food and service provided. Overall, Bakso Bondan Solo is a fantastic spot for anyone craving a hearty bowl of meatball soup and noodles. Highly recommended! ---
