Halal chicken dishes & comfort classics served until late in a cozy local eatery.

Fried chicken made from genuine free-range (kampung) chicken and always fresh. 100% Indonesian flavor because the spices and sambal are a family recipe passed down since long ago, and the chicken is sourced from local farmers

I came here for lunch on a weekday and noticed the place is quite popular. I heard they use kampung chicken for the Ayam Goreng which makes the dish taste fresher and ensures fewer preservatives and growth hormones compared to other chicken places. Even though the portion size is incredibly small, I would much rather have meat that is preservative-free. The chicken was flavorful, hot, and nicely fried, though the meat was a bit tougher and chewier than usual. This place has a great local reputation. I like that they serve both white rice and Nasi Uduk as options. The sambal was excellent as well. For an affordable, authentic lunch, I think this place is quite an authentic spot for both locals and tourists!

Simple Comfort Food That Keeps You Coming Back 🍗🔥 Ayam Berkah proves that simple food can be the most memorable. The menu is super straightforward—fried chicken, fried tofu & tempeh, chicken gizzard, fried cabbage, and fresh vegetables, with a choice of white rice or nasi uduk. Yet somehow, this place is always packed, always has a queue, and always makes you want to order extra rice or another piece of chicken. One of the best parts? The sambal is placed on every table, so it’s basically all-you-can-eat 🌶️ And if you want unlimited drinks vibes too, just order their plain iced tea. We had ours at the food court area and added chicken satay, served sizzling on a hot plate with two sauces: sweet soy sauce and peanut sauce. Simple flavors, done really well. No fancy presentation, no complicated menu—just comforting Indonesian food that hits the spot every single time.

Ayam Goreng Berkah is often called one of the best fried chicken spots in South Jakarta—and it largely lives up to the hype. The chicken is genuinely flavorful and satisfying, especially considering the very affordable pricing. That said, popularity comes with trade-offs. Parking is limited, and the place gets extremely crowded during peak meal hours. Even though the dining area is air-conditioned, it can still feel warm and a bit cramped when it’s full. Still, if you’re after great taste at a great price, this place is easily one of the best value-for-money options around.

My first time dined at this local popular fried chicken place. Got to give name and wait to be call on the waiting list. We ordered the “ 1 ekor” (Rp 82K) which consisted of two pieces of thighs and two pieces of drumsticks, which are relatively very small pieces and less meat. The chilli sauce provided was not really have kick to match with such meat. The tempeh also doesn’t taste good as well. No cutlery provided. For me will be one time.

Awesome place to get traditional Indonesian fried chicken. Tho it is oily due to frying process, the meat is very lean as if the chicken is free range as opposed to fatty cooped up chickens. The seasonings is the best. The sambal and steam rice with fresh greens on the side is a combo made in heaven.
