The museum curation is small but free of charge and comprehensive. If you're a foreigner, note that the exhibits are entirely in Indonesian and not in English. The best thing is that from the museum, there's a traditional building beside the lake that has a few traditional Betawi food sellers esp on weekend afternoons. They sell food like kerak telur, gado gado, bir pletok, and es selendang mayang.
View on GoogleThe kids learn a lot the history of betawi from here. The place is well maintain except the needs of more cleaner toilet since the space were huge. The best culinary is Kerak telor, it's a bit different taste with the usual seller we found in PRJ. Don't forget to drink Bir Pletok,so refreshing👍
View on GoogleThe museum is very big, nice and clean. Besides the museum, there are also various kinds of buildings that are useful when there are important events. In the area around the museum there is also a fast road to get to Lake Setu Babakan. This place can be used as a tourist destination when you visit Jakarta. The place is very kid friendly and family friendly.
View on Googlein this museum we can see collection like Betawi traditional wedding dress, Betawi batik, old bicycle, Golok (betawi traditional weapon like sword), ondel-ondel (big doll look like human is human size).
