Found this place by accident. I was originally looking for the regular Djournal to get some work done, but ended up at Kissa Djournal instead (I’m not a frequent visitor to Grand Indonesia). Loved the atmosphere. The music wasn’t too loud, so it was a great place to sit and get some work done. The highlight was definitely Mas Nanda. He greeted me warmly and patiently explained the menu. Very friendly and great product knowledge too! I ordered the orange Americano and spinach quiche, and both were really good. The coffee wasn’t too sweet, and the quiche wasn’t too salty, just the way I like them.
View on GoogleMuhammad Fikri Hafidzulla and the staff at the connection restaurnt aren’t not very inviting or friendly. First they said they are closing at 22:00 despite saying 23:00. Maybe true their machine had problems but I asked if it can still make drinks and he said it’s fine to make us a coffee. We ordered coffee and food at the coffee shop (3 people) and whilst waiting for the coffee to be made we walked into the next door restaurnt owned by them, as the door was open. And the woman there Shang we can’t be in there (we can’t look to see if maybe we want to go there another time?) and Muhamed also told my tooth friend “get your friends out of their” And of course they do not even bring the drinks to the table once made. Not usual service for Asia? We have businesses in multiple countries in Asia. Two of us are well dressed respectful businessmen, and directors. Do you not want to welcome respectful gusts to your store? If you don’t want people walking through the door then just close the door? Why have false welcoming open door. Really unfriendly staff so have to give this place a 1* EDIT: coffee was really good, and my friend said the pie was great. I would have bought a pie but didn’t want to give any additional money after unfriendly behaviour of staff. Real shame as this place has extremely high reviews. Staff should be humble and welcoming to all people and treat everyone with opening and friendliness.
View on GoogleI had high expectations, but the service and portion sizes were very disappointing compared to the price. Even after being seated, it took a long time for anyone to come and take our order. We only ordered two cups of matcha, but they took forever to arrive. To make matters worse, the serving size was surprisingly small. Considering the high price point, the lack of attentiveness from the staff and the small portions were really frustrating. I don’t think the experience was worth the money at all.
View on GoogleA very cozy place to just sit down and have some alone time or to hang out with friends. Thank you to Kak Nanda for the kind hospitality. The coffee and cake taste good too
