The space looks aesthetic with the red chairs that stood out in the neutral-looking room. Beside the main dishes, they also served quite a wide variety of appetizers and desserts (cakes, choco bonbons, cookies, and ice cream). They had 5 types of pasta, fresh seafood, and various cookings of meat and fish (wellington, lamb stew, etc). Beside the main buffet, they also served some special dish from table to table at some specific timing, like the mocktail, tomahawk, risotto, tiramisu, etc. So, if you want to make the most of it, it is recommended to be there from 11:30am all through to 3pm. Tiramisu was served at around 2pm. We went there for Christmas lunch, so it was fun to see the performance of children caroling and a Santa going around handing out cookies. The dish that stood out most to me was the risotto, which was chewy, creamy, and blended well with the taste of truffle

We had an amazing wedding anniversary dinner at Rosso. The food was surprisingly outstanding, with generous portion sizes. We enjoyed the salad, soup, mushroom risotto, beef tenderloin, and lamb + desserts — everything was perfectly cooked and tasted just right. A big thank you to Mr. Sigit for the exceptional service. We’ll definitely be coming back again!

Rosso at Shangri-La Jakarta is a truly special place that I find myself coming back to again and again. The ambience is incredibly comforting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed and enjoyable Italian Cuisine. The food is consistently excellent; I especially love the tuna tartare—it’s always so fresh and appealing. The pizza is fantastic, and the panna cotta is nothing short of beautiful. Beyond the comforting food and atmosphere, the staff, and particularly the Chef, make this restaurant unforgettable. On a recent visit, I was having a difficult day and was feeling down due to some bad news. I couldn't finish my risotto because my mind was elsewhere. The Chef noticed and came to my table, genuinely concerned that his food wasn't up to standard. I explained that it was my emotional state, not the food, and he was so understanding and compassionate. He offered to make me something else, and his kindness and the dish he prepared truly helped to soothe my spirits. If you are staying at the Shangri-La Jakarta, or even if you're not, I highly recommend visiting Rosso. It’s an exceptional experience not just for the comforting food and beautiful ambience, but for the incredible human touch from the Chef and the entire team.

Been here for Sunday Brunch buffet for the 4th time this year. Always one of our family favorites. The italian menu feels very authentic and the new porchetta was superb. A bit of note: The previous three visits were somewhat nicer with choices of by-order menu. Apparently Rosso decided to change to the full buffet concept with few pass-arounds. Although the new porchetta menu was a winner in the new full-buffet but the previous by-order menu was more likeable. I hope Rosso would consider to move back to the buffet plus by-order menu (and keeping the new winning porchetta recipe) like what they offered in earlier 2024.

I recently dined at Rosso with my family and it was a delightful experience. The highlight of the meal was the Spaghetti al Tonno, a perfect blend of fresh flavors with a rich pesto that beautifully complemented the al dente pasta. Equally impressive was the Quattro Formaggi pizza; the combination of four cheeses created a creamy, indulgent topping that was simply irresistible. Also, the steak is delicious and a must-try. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a memorable meal. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine!
