Dining at Nishimura is less of a meal and more of a refined hospitality experience, where elegance, precision, and heartfelt service come together seamlessly. The restaurant’s serene Japanese-inspired interior, paired with its calm and intimate ambience, sets the perfect tone for an unhurried and sophisticated evening. What truly elevates the visit is the top-notch service. Special thanks to Andri, Dini, and Hesti, whose attentiveness and genuine warmth made us feel sincerely welcomed. Their professionalism, thoughtful recommendations, and graceful presence throughout the meal reflect the true spirit of omotenashi anticipating needs before they are even expressed. They are, without doubt, the ambassadors of Nishimura. As for the cuisine, the cod fish was cooked to perfection tender, flaky, and beautifully balanced in flavour. The wagyu beef was decent and average, though the impeccable environment and outstanding service more than made up for it. Overall, Nishimura is a place you return to not only for the food, but for the people and the polished dining experience they so effortlessly deliver.
View on GoogleI recently had one of the most memorable dining experiences at Nishimura Restaurant, Shangri-La Jakarta, and I can confidently say it deserves every bit of praise it gets. From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance immediately transported me — warm, elegant, and authentically Japanese, yet still carrying that signature Shangri-La sophistication. The service was absolutely outstanding. I would like to personally highlight Syahbu, Jesica, Wahad, and a wonderful lady whom I believe is the Manager, Ms. Nina. Each of them went above and beyond to ensure that every detail of our experience was perfect. They were not only friendly and polite but also incredibly attentive — refilling drinks without being asked, explaining each dish with care, and checking in just at the right moments without ever interrupting our conversation. It’s rare to find such a team that works so seamlessly together, and they truly made the evening special. Now, let’s talk about the food — absolutely phenomenal. The meat selection was top quality, tender, flavorful, and perfectly grilled to our preference. The seafood was incredibly fresh, especially the sashimi and teppanyaki — you can taste the freshness and the skill of the chef in every bite. Each dish was presented beautifully, with great attention to detail, and you can tell that the kitchen team takes immense pride in their craft. The chef’s execution was impeccable. Every course came out perfectly timed, with flavors that were balanced, rich, and truly authentic. From the delicate starters to the sizzling teppan dishes, everything was cooked to perfection. It’s clear that Nishimura maintains a very high standard, and it shows not only in the ingredients but also in the consistency of their culinary excellence. The ambiance added the final touch — calm, cozy, and elegant, with just the right lighting and atmosphere to make it perfect for both intimate dinners and special celebrations. It feels refined yet comfortable, a place where you can truly relax and enjoy your meal. Overall, Nishimura is a restaurant that delivers on every level — food, service, and atmosphere. The entire experience felt genuine, heartfelt, and professionally handled from start to finish. I left with a big smile, completely satisfied and already planning my next visit. A huge thank you once again to Syahbu, Jesica, Wahad, and Ms. Nina for your hospitality and to the chef and team for an unforgettable meal. Nishimura at Shangri-La truly sets the standard for what excellent dining should be — good food, warm service, and a touch of perfection in every detail.
View on GoogleNishimura offers a truly exceptional Japanese dining experience with authentic ambiance. The food quality is superb. We had the combination teppanyaki course by Chef Wahad and it was really amazing. The service was impeccable, which was also attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming from Jessica and Syahbu. We sat at the teppan area and had a great time. It was a great experince
View on GoogleWe had an absolutely wonderful and truly pleasant lunch experience at Nishimura. The chef, Chef Wahat (I hope I spelled his name correctly), prepared an outstanding teppanyaki. The seafood, in particular, was exceptional. I honestly don’t know how he managed to cook it to such a level of perfection. The texture was impeccable. Overall, every dish served was simply flawless. Another aspect that impressed me deeply was their hospitality. We were assisted by Mas Akbar, who was incredibly attentive to our needs; he never once let our ocha cups go empty. He was very well-mannered, communicated in a soft and polite tone, and was genuinely warm and accommodating. I was truly touched by his kindness and professionalism. We were also assisted by Mbak Legina, who welcomed us warmly and graciously recommended the best seating spot for our reservation. After lunch, I accidentally left my pouch behind, and she ran all the way to the lobby to return it to me. I sincerely appreciated this thoughtful and dedicated gesture. Their sincere and heartfelt hospitality created a remarkably delightful experience that makes me eager to return again. Sometimes, when visiting a fine dining restaurant, you may feel a sense of distance or condescension, but trust me, you will not experience that here. I truly appreciate how welcoming and respectful they are toward their guests ❤️ Thank you, Mas Akbar, Mbak Legina, and Chef Wahat, for such a memorable experience.
