La Posta Taste of Argentina is located on 2nd floor of a low rise building, next to Pavilion apartment and opposite City Walk Sudirman in Tanah Abang area. Before our food arrived, they served us hot biscuits (bread) with chimicuri & spicy tomato dippings on the side. We ordered: Saltena empanadas - hand-cut beef & vegetable - tasty and juicy filling. the pastry dough wrapper was thin and savory 👍 Espinaca empanadas - spinach & ricotta cheese - delicious and creamy filling 👍 Egg special milanesa - milanesa completa - beef. Thin sliced beef covered in breadcrumbs, deep fried and topped with eggs. I didn't quite like this dish because the meat was super thin and it"s too dry. I also thought the eggs were out of place and didn't elevate the dish at all. Salmon & ricotta ravioli - sorrentino de salmon - homemade ravioli filled with salmon and ricotta, with cheese sauce. The ravioli is al dente and has pronounced salmon flavor. But the cheese sauce was a bit bland, not flavorful enough for me. Rib eye butterfly cut - chuleton corte mariposa - Thick rib eye, cooked to perfection. Tender and moist and super flavorful. No need for extra sauce 👍 Mash potato - light and fluffy mashed potato Argentine bread pudding - budin de pan - thick and quite dense bread pudding served with caramel sauce. A bit too sweet for me. Chocolate & caramel brownie - torta brownie - fudgie brownie served with chocolate ice cream. It's divine! 👍 Vanilla roibosh tea - fragrant vanilla tea The food was delicious, the atmosphere was good, the service was friendly and fast. There were many foreigners visiting this restaurant, too. It's quite famous among the expats.

Decent Argentinian casual diner (marketed as an up-marketed steak house in central Jakarta). Love the Argentinian salad. Picana is much preferred than Bife de Chorizo, the leaner Argentine top loin. Steaks are from Australia. Fries are thicker than usual, so watch it if on carb control. Chef Pancho is from Salta, North Argentina.

La Posta is one of our go-to places. We will visit at least once a month. The restaurant offers exceptional value for money. We've tried lots of their menu items over the years and the food has always been beyond satisfactory. So thank you Kate and Pancho for the many great meals and a special mention for the always excellent service of Danu.

5 / 5 La Posta is one of our favorite restaurants this year. We’ve visited many times, and each experience has been consistently delightful. The staff, owners, and chef are always welcoming, making the dining atmosphere warm and personal, like visiting friends who also happen to cook really great food. They serve authentic Argentinian cuisine, the food here is truly comforting. We love their Spanish cured ham and cheese platter, simple yet perfect to start the meal. Pork ribs, omelette, and spinach ravioli are dishes we keep ordering again and again. Their Christmas menu was a highlight for us, especially the beef burger, juicy, full of flavor, and something we still remember clearly. Desserts are another must. Rogel, brownies, lava cake all consistently good, and you’ll likely end up thinking about them the next day. They also offer whole cake orders for special occasions, which makes it a lovely option for celebrations with family or close friends. With great food, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere, La Posta is a place we’ll happily keep coming back to.

I always want to drop a visit to La Posta for its "Argentinian dish" brand and after 10 years, finally, I come today and ENJOY their traditional dishes SO MUCH! I found the starter Plato de Jamon Serrano is SATIFYING. I am happy to eat the home made potato salad, it tastes so good since the peas, carrots and potatoes salad I know usually a ready-made one. The Milanesa Napolitana EXCITES me since the very first bite and the Sorrentino de Salmon (with Argentine Bolognese sauce) is COMFORTING for my friend. We didn't expect the portion will be that huge, we need to take some time to finish the food (happily!). I'm not a huge fans of steak but love to eat pork, thus I would love to come back again to try the recommended pork steak. I believe people who eat at La Posta will get the vibe of how the couple (Kat and Pancho) really try their best to make Indonesian enjoy Argentinian food. Awesome!
