This Indonesian restaurant makes a strong first impression with its beautiful décor and grand, welcoming entrance. The space is also very spacious, giving it a comfortable and slightly upscale feel that’s great for a relaxed dining experience. As for the food, it’s solid and enjoyable — the dishes are well-prepared and flavorful, but nothing particularly stands out as exceptional or memorable. It’s good, just not especially distinctive compared to other similar places. Overall, it’s still a nice spot to visit, especially if you appreciate a pleasant dining environment. Worth stopping by for the ambience, even if the food is more on the standard side.

Overall, we had a good experience. The chicken satay was made with chicken breast, so it was a bit dry, but the peanut sauce was delicious. The soto ayam was flavorful, though I think it would have been even better with a slightly tangier taste. The kangkung was stir-fried with sambal, which was a bit unexpected. The mie goreng had a tasty sauce, but the noodles were thicker than I prefer, so the texture wasn't my favorite. The nasi goreng could use a warning or an option to adjust the spice level. We were dining with children, and it turned out to be much spicier than we expected. The biggest downside was the number of flies. They were buzzing around our table and landing on the food throughout the meal, which made the dining experience quite uncomfortable. On the positive side, the staff were friendly, attentive, and served our food quickly.

Always nice to come back here. But this fine i came on day time on weekdays. Good weather not rainy but not too hot. Quite lucky now GBK has the shuttle service around. Greeneries make the atmosphere more relax and cool. Food is great as usual. However they dis run out an ingredient on a menu. Service always excellent. Landscape is lovely.

Hutan Kota by Plataran is a stunning dining destination located inside Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex in Central Jakarta. The restaurant operates under the well-known Plataran Indonesia hospitality and tourism group. This location serves as the original and first flagship venue for this specific urban forest concept. The main dishes feature an extensive selection of authentic Indonesian heritage cuisine and royal recipes. Chefs prepare traditional dishes using premium local ingredients and spices. The standout specialties include their crispy duck dishes, flavorful fried rice varieties, and assorted traditional Indonesian satays. The price range is decidedly premium and high-end. It targets affluent corporate executives, government officials, luxury travelers, and families celebrating special milestones. Visitor comments are overwhelmingly positive and glowing. Guests frequently praise the serene natural environment, the breathtaking views of the modern skyscrapers, and the open-air concept. Diners also love the elegant traditional decor, the immaculate cleanliness, and the warm hospitality of the staff. An interesting fact about this place is its unique setting as a lush green sanctuary right in the middle of the concrete jungle of the capital city. It even served as a prominent dining venue for world leaders during international summits.

Always a great experience! The food and service are excellent every time. I brought my family visiting from the US and they absolutely loved it, high praise from first-timers! The spacious layout and welcoming environment were perfect for our 1.5-year-old to roam and explore freely. A fantastic spot for the whole family!
