My gastronomic street snacking experience was truly adventurous, exhibiting a departure from the customary dim sum offerings found in Malaysia and Hong Kong. The harmonious blend of flavours was impeccable, with particular commendation reserved for the irresistible peanut sauce. The attentiveness of the hawker, inquiring about my chili preferences, underscored a dedication to customer satisfaction. Despite the modest price of IDR15k and my attempt to offer more, the insistence on returning the surplus exemplified a commitment to integrity. Opting for a serene dine-in setting beneath a verdant tree, I entertained apprehensions about potential digestive discomfort, which regrettably materialised but was swiftly overcome by the following day. Undoubtedly, the experience warranted the nominal inconvenience, as evidenced by my overall satisfaction. For those wary of such concerns, opting for takeout may provide peace of mind, given the boiled nature of the fare. It's worth noting that any digestive issues may be attributed to the hygienic conditions surrounding the dining utensils, lacking access to a readily available water source. All in all, affording this stall is a generous opportunity for you now more than ever, considering the commendable diligence in their pursuit of livelihood.
View on GoogleLast Sunday 12/Nov/23, tried the dumplings, right in front of Cikini Station, it turns out now it's 20K/portion (up from 15K/portion) tastes almost the same as the one at the restaurant next door, in my opinion, with the location on the sidewalk, the price is too expensive...

View on GoogleOne of the best tastes for street siomay in Jakarta I believe.
View on GoogleThis Cikini Siomay is already very legendary, because it has been selling for more than twenty years ago. The taste of the siomay is delicious, the fish is felt with the right level of chewiness. And the peanut sauce is legit with the texture of the peanuts still there, with a salty-savory-spicy-sweet taste added with soy sauce and a squeeze of lime, it tastes even better.🫶 Even though this siomay is sold with a street cart at a very friendly price, the taste is 5 stars🫰proven by still existing until now🫶
