Really love the vibe of a classic cinema in the whole compound. The main building was built under colonial era under the Dutch and opened for public for the first time in 1951. The classic architectural is still there with 50s - 60s era. We can enjoy lunch or dinner before we watch movies. The Soto Betawi, The Mie Ayam Bakso are recommended. Also many of dishes to eat with rice: Kecombrang, buncis, perkedel jagung, Soto Ayam, Cumi Gepuk and many more. I'vw tries many of them and they are delicious! Not to forget the anack: traditional snack like Kue Cucur and Unti. Ow my goodness. The Unti was so awesome. Not only coconut and Gula Jawa ibside, but also Nangka. Must try! Best idea to bring the whole family for cinema weekend
View on GoogleTraditional food selection in a Quite fancy place with heritage ambience. Lvl2 of Metropole building. Taste: The food tasted clean, healthy and not using MSG. Presentation: Pretty appetizing. Location: very strategic in Menteng area, the Metropole are surrounded by cafes and eateries. Service: Walking trough the counter, do the payment and self service. Type: Indonesian food, Java region. Price: 65K above, we tried 135K-ish Rawon Iga also. Atmosphere/Ambience: Oldies/vintage ambience, western vibes because of the building.
View on GoogleSquid definitely worth the price for 35k per portion, the other is ok but i love the place, it was very comfortable
View on GoogleDining here means you'll look for the ambience and peaceful environment. Long big spacious room and tables and chairs to seat in. They serve mostly Indonesian foods as 'home made cooking', and with various soto as well. Taste quite good, but as they are served aleready, so not too warm..ot maybe because I came at 4pm. Ayam goreng lengkuas is pretty good. They put price tags at the foods displayed, or you may ask if you are in doubt. You can enjoy the dining while looking outside the window and waiting the jam is over. They provide wifi. Clean spaces too..
View on GoogleA nice restaurant, clean, and tidy. The toilets are also clean. They have many choices of appetizer, main dishes, and desserts, all Indonesian traditional food and drinks. I ordered a dessert that wasn't good (not fresh and tasted bad), and they replaced it with a new one.
