Something I’ve never had before and definitely coming back for: Nasi Goreng Merah (4.8/5) Mie Titi (4.8/5) Both were super memorable. Bold flavors, really satisfying, and something you don’t come across every day. Something I’d probably try just once: Es Pisang Ijo The pisang itself wasn’t as sweet as I expected and felt a bit underwhelming. The sumsum was really good though, and the ice was refreshing, just wish the pisang stood out more. Ikan Bakar Unfortunately, it didn’t taste as fresh as we hoped. Also… we definitely over-ordered without realizing the portions are quite big 🥲 My friend mentioned that the fish was fresher on her previous visit, so I guess this time just wasn’t our lucky day.
View on GoogleAuthentic Makassar cuisine, coming from someone who came from makassar and work here in Jakarta, even my families said that many makassar descent for generations living in jakarta recommend this restaurant 👌🏻
View on GoogleComfort food in Menteng for those who are in love with Manado food I was ordered Bandeng Palumara (my fam’s fav), Cumi Telor Asin & Grill Kerapu. They will serve with additional sauce like Petis, Mangga and their signature Dabu-Dabu. The taste is really authentic. The spice that they have is really complex but really blends perfectly. Recommend to go here if you want something new & complex taste but still good.
View on GoogleI went with my family for lunch to enjoy some well-known Makassar dishes that are famous in Jakarta. We ordered: • Coto Makassar • Buras • Misoa Seafood • Squid with Saus Padang • Durian Juice • Iced Coffee • Panada and Pisang Ijo The portions were generous and great for sharing. Luckily, it wasn’t too crowded during lunch, so we had a relaxing meal. We spent around Rp 450,000 (approximately $28), which we found very reasonable for the quality and quantity. A great place to try authentic Makassar flavors!
View on GoogleThe grilled milkfish is really spot on. The famous red fried rice is rather sweeter than the authentic version but my kids likes it better like this so no complain
