The show was good, but every time a scene ended we had to wait a few minutes for the food to arrive, was a little disappointed it wasn’t timed well. To top it off, the food was nothing like the “petit chefs” prepared so I was underwhelmed. However, the worst part of it was that the food did not match the description as advertised on the website or on the menu. The gazpacho was not a thick soup that I anticipated. The amount of lobster was not worth the extra. The bresola chips seemed too dry. Ravioli if you can call it that was very tardily made and the shaved truffle was not shaved. I expected table side shaving but it was a few drops of paste. Again, left me disappointed. We ordered drinks at the start of the show, and only got them almost an hour into the show right before the main course, which then left us rushing to finish the drinks as the session was ending. The steak was great, almost a medium rare like I requested. The fresh rosemary seemed like it was just there to cover the empty space on the plate which is not a big deal on it’s own, but when we saw the bearnaise sauce with a few specs of herbs it was kind of funny that there was so much unnecessary herbs on the meat plate and almost none in the sauce. I was really looking forward to the sourness of the torched caramelised lemon marshmallow, only to be disappointed yet again. The only sourness I got was from the fresh raspberries, and the strawberries in the matcha cake. The matcha cake seemed to be store bought and nothing special. Overall, I’d say it was an experience watching the show, the host tried her best to be interactive which I appreciated, but I won’t come back again. I’d say that kids would’ve appreciated the show and food more.

Very unique dining experience in the heart of Jakarta. I really loved how the food was just as good as the displays. The gazpacho was so refreshing, and the truffle in the pasta was just ✨right✨ that the sauce became perfect. Will be dreaming about that sauce tonight! We had the 12 PM slot and it was just the two of us, so it made the experience better as it felt very personalized. Service was amazing, they allowed us to change our booking slot when we couldn't make it earlier.

Dined at Le Petit Chef last Saturday. The food was good and well-executed, though the flavors didn’t particularly stand out. What truly elevates the evening is the immersive, theatre-like presentation. Each course feels staged, with the servers changing outfits to match the theme, which adds to the sense of storytelling. The intimate setting, with around 12 guests per session, makes the experience feel exclusive and engaging. Overall, it’s more about the carefully curated experience than the food itself, and worth trying at least once.

Still thinking about our anniversary dinner at Le Petit Chef Jakarta and honestly... I get the hype now. 🥹✨ Some places serve good food. Some places create an experience. Le Petit Chef somehow does both. From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel so welcomed. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely delightful from beginning to end. Huge shout out to Kanaya, who took care of us throughout the evening. She was vibrant, engaging, and somehow knew exactly how to make the experience feel even more fun and memorable. 🫶 As tourists visiting Jakarta, she even shared recommendations on places to explore around the city, which was such a thoughtful touch. One of the moments that still makes me smile was when she also nyanyi bersama "jalan-jalan dengan separuh rodaku" 😂. Little interactions like these made the evening feel personal rather than transactional. Now, the food. What I loved most was being able to experience different countries and cuisines in one seating. Every course felt like a little passport stamp. 🇪🇸 The Ensalada de Tomate was fresh, vibrant, and deceptively simple. Sweet tomatoes, creamy burrata, fragrant basil, and just the right balance of acidity. A beautiful start to the meal. 🇮🇹 The Mushroom Ravioli was comfort food elevated. Rich, earthy, cheesy, and full of truffle goodness. The kind of dish that makes you pause after a bite just to appreciate what's happening. Our #1 🏆 🇫🇷 The MB9 Ribeye was cooked medium rare exactly how it should be, beautifully pink in the centre, incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavour from that gorgeous marbling. Paired with the béarnaise sauce, crispy fries, and heirloom carrots, it was easily one of the standout dishes of the night. 🇯🇵 The Kyoto Mont Blanc was such a lovely ending. While every component worked beautifully together, the highlight for me was the matcha and red bean combination. FANTASTIC. The way it was transformed into delicate vermicelli was both creative and delicious. Earthy matcha, subtle sweetness from the red bean, and a texture that made every bite interesting. I could happily eat a whole bowl of just that. And then... oh my God. As if the experience wasn't already special enough, the team surprised us with a complimentary anniversary dessert. 🥹❤️ Such a simple gesture, but it meant so much. It made us feel celebrated and cared for. MashaAllah, thank you for making our anniversary even more memorable. But honestly? The food is only half the story. The real magic is the experience itself. That evening, the room was just us and Kanaya. Yet somehow we found ourselves laughing, smiling, taking countless videos, and being completely immersed in the little chef's adventure. We had way too much fun with the photo props. Watching the tiny chef run around our table, "cook" our meal, and tell stories through the projection mapping genuinely made us feel like kids again. And maybe that's what made the night so special. For a few hours, we forgot about being adults with responsibilities and deadlines. We were just two people completely caught up in the wonder of it all. Sharing that feeling with the person I love made it even more meaningful. ❤️ The animation and storytelling were beautifully crafted. In a time where so many things feel mass-produced or AI-generated, this felt thoughtful, intentional, and full of heart. The creativity and craftsmanship behind the experience were truly impressive. And the cute little quiz at the end where we got a dining voucher? Such a fun touch. Asik banget!! 😂 Hats off to the chef, Kanaya, and the entire team for creating something so unique. We left with full stomachs, happy hearts, and a new core memory together. And somewhere between laughing at the little chef, posing with the props, and enjoying the surprise anniversary dessert, we found ourselves saying: "Nanti, we need to bring our future children here." That's how magical it felt. 10/10. Would absolutely come back. ✨ Thank you Le Petit Chef Jakarta!
