A very comforting lunch at Dasotbap. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect because of the mixed reviews, but I ended up quite happy with my meal. I decided to try the gochujang bulgogi despite some reviews calling it bland. While it’s not the typical bold, flavour-packed dish, the overall taste was clean and comforting, with the butter adding a nice decadent, velvety touch to each spoonful. I did ask for a bit of salt, which helped bring everything together. The tteokgalbi was also enjoyable, with a sweeter flavour profile and a nice hint of savouriness that paired well with the rice. Since they mainly serve sotbap and rice is meant to be the highlight, I’d say they did a pretty good job. The rice was fluffy and perfectly cooked, with toppings that complemented it well. Just don’t come expecting strong or punchy flavours!

One of the first and best dolsotbap in town! I really like the cute, compact, humble interior concept, packaged with a simple, straightforward, and detailed to the point product concept. The best of all is the mackarel. Literally 11/10. Beats all the other menu for sure! Please keep the authenticity and keep the momentum. 👍🏻

This little casual Korean restaurant serves sotbap using the Korean pressure cooker to cook the rice. There are only few small tables and seats in this restaurant, so definitely it is not suitable for a big group of people. Reservation is not available either. Overall, it’s below my expectation. The taste is just okay and the portion is considered small even for Indonesian. Because of those reasons, i personally view the price is a bit too high. Order for mackerel is limited for one for each table. It was prepared and cooked well, although, I could still smell the fishiness. The kimchi is not outstanding, however, the soup is fine. One more thing, the overall taste is bland.

Not gonna give a higher praise than 3 stars because I did have a great expectation to savour the foods here, turned out I was pretty much disappointed. I came when there were only 2 tables filled, yet they dont let me sit cause my friend hadn't come yet. When we wanted to sit, they told us that the table we specifically wanted to sit is reserved?????? I thought it was a walk-in no reservation restaurant. Also it is soooo sempit to the point when the staff wanted to refill our tea he has to be squeezed between the customers's seatings. Funny to remember that Ok, then the food. Ughh. Ok i get that people are saying they dont have any seasonings in it, but it is really bland and the ingredient itself didn't have a strong or unique flavor (what do u expect for rice to taste like, and the condiments we'll get to it later). The mackerel somehow gave a bit of fishy smell and taste (people are saying it is not). The gochujang bulgogi is just so-so. What gave the food a life is the packed seaweed (that has a lot of seasonings) and the soup. Even the soup is not hot! The bancan is so little. It is not worth the price. Both of us agree not to come here any time soon since there are a lot of korean restaurants out there that have better food and services. Thank you for the experience though.

TOO BASIC AND RICE TOO SOGGY The DaSotBap is not like what we expected. We expected more firm/crispy rice but it turned too watery/soggy for our taste disappointed
