Stepping into this place is like a warm hug from the past, seriously. The vibe here is totally classic and nostalgic, it just makes you feel good. They've got all sorts of traditional games set up, which is super fun if you're looking for something different. And don't even get me started on the snacks, they’re the kind that bring back so many memories. It’s the perfect spot to chill out, reconnect with old friends, or just enjoy a moment of cozy reflection.

Historically, the restaurant is cultured. I like the big mirrors and some antique utilities. Very authentic. Located in Menteng, somehow, the restaurant didnt meet my expectation in terms of the food. im not talking about how much, if the quality matched the price. Pure orange juice was idr 88k but its not from cara cara oranges, i ordered beef rib soup at idr 180k, but its not from the fresh rib. The rib looks very dark, and the rice was crunchy/dry, and the service took a long time. You win the historical place, please upgrade the food quality.

Like travel back in time. This place has been open even before Indonesia's independence. Although I haven't alive back then, but it almost feels like I was belong when I'm here. Their coffee even with higher price is better than your average coffee from other places. Their employee is quite helpful when explaining the menu. There's some traditional toys you can play together as a group. Would love to come back again.

Bakoel Coffee has a lot of potential, mainly thanks to its amazing vintage atmosphere, which is definitely a huge plus. The place itself is quite nice. However, the food is a bit of a mixed bag, some dishes were okay, while others were just average. Unfortunately, the service was quite frustrating. The waitresses didn't seem to understand the menu when I asked them questions. On top of that, they were gathering and chatting in a group near the bar area, which looked very unprofessional and wasn't pleasant to see. It’s a beautiful place, but the management really needs to improve their customer service.

I love bakoel koffie. This place is sentimental to me because every weekend my late father will definitely take me and my family for a cup of coffee here after bakmi cikini next door or after planetarium / TIM visit, or after yearly lunch at kikugawa nearby. This is the exact place where i as the junior high school student learn to drink my first black coffee with no sugar. Im so glad the taste hasn’t change and the place is still frozen in time. The coffee is still lovely, bitter, and caramel-y in the pleasant way possible Al fatihah to him and hopefully this will be a memorable place to both locals and tourists strolling around cikini area 🌹
