Craving pempek (Palembang) and went straight to Garudan. Because lots of places sell it and it's famous for its pempek, but I like Pempek Unyil. The location is right on the street and easy to find, yeah, but space for vehicles is limited, though the parking attendant helps out. The taste is good, even though there have been some changes it's still good and everything was enjoyable. We ate in and ordered kapal selam (big portion), medium pempek lenggang (good), pempek kulit (good, not fishy), pempek lenjer (good, soft, doesn't tire you out chewing it) There's also a choice of noodles / rice vermicelli. Everything was delicious and the broth was just right. For me the broth isn't too sour or spicy so it suits everyone & they're not stingy with the broth. The sambal isn't spicy so you can adjust it, yeah. Prices are listed on the menu. Fast service, friendly staff, unfortunately they only accept cash for payment (so prepare cash) hope Pempek Unyil keeps going. Wishing you continued success.

Seriously the tastiest pempek.. I once tried the one across the street that matches the street name, it's a bit dry and thin, while this Pempek Unyil one is soft but crispy on the outside, anyway it's delicious.. Been a loyal regular since I was young, back when I was still working in Jakarta, until I got married and moved to Cikarang, every time I go to Jakarta I always stop by to eat here, yesterday tried all of them: pempek kapal selam, pindang patin, tekwan, all delicious...😁

Geez got scammed drinking es jeruk 25rb/glass lolll...lesson learned, never coming back to buy here again..

The most delicious pempek along Jalan Garuda in my opinion. When I tried other pempek, the broth didn't taste quite right.
