Kampung Kecil Abdul Muis truly delivers an authentic Indonesian dining experience that feels warm, comforting, and unforgettable. From the moment I stepped in, the ambience immediately stood out — the gentle sounds of birds chirping and the soft melodies of angklung playing in the background created a peaceful, village-style atmosphere right in the heart of the city. It’s the perfect setting to relax and enjoy a hearty meal. The food was exceptional, and I highly recommend trying their Iga Bakar Madu. The ribs were tender, smoky, and coated with just the right amount of sweet honey glaze — every bite was delicious and satisfying. The Gurame Kremis was another highlight, crispy on the outside yet soft inside, paired perfectly with their sambal that added a nice kick. For something simple yet flavourful, the Ayam Kecil was surprisingly impressive — juicy, well-marinated, and grilled to perfection. Service was friendly and prompt, enhancing the overall dining experience. With its charming ambience, flavourful dishes, and great value, Kampung Kecil Abdul Muis is definitely a place I would return to and recommend to anyone wanting authentic Indonesian comfort food in a relaxing environment. We didn’t talk once the food arrives as its too delicious!
View on GoogleThe food was delicious, and the service is usually fast. However, there might have been a lot of tour groups this afternoon. The extra chairs were too high for the tables, and there were not enough air-conditioned rooms.
View on GoogleDishes are mostly pre-cooked, served at kids’temperature. All Batter taste alike, like instant powder batter (salted egg, kremes). Sayur asem served at room temperature. Even for non Indonesian, the dishes are way off Sunda dishes. Mismatch of the superb ID of the restaurant. And served warm teh tawar in a cracked glass tumbler. Good value for money but not likely to be my choice of Sunda Resto when in Jakarta.
View on GoogleFound this nice kampung style restaurant concept during our walk to National Museum. It surprisingly has nice food and therapeutic atmosphere. A lot of public servants and employees of around offices during lunch hours. It has plenty of parking spots available. The only downside is visitors are free to smoke in the restaurant vicinity after their meals. Just like other Indonesian restaurants. Really unhealthy and poisonous.
View on GoogleA truly wonderful dining experience in Jakarta! The atmosphere is stunning, beautifully decorated, and provides a very safe and secure environment. The food is exceptionally delicious with authentic flavors, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality you get. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Jakarta looking for great food and a lovely ambiance👍👍👍👍👍
