No frills, high quality soto daging (beef soto). I asked what their specialty was and was then recommended their soto daging. So I just ordered that. The soto broth here is saltier and thicker than Solo style sotos, but they are not as thick/cloudy as Makassar style pallubasa. It is still fresh and easy to slurp. For IDR 52k, they serve a generous amount of beef. All the meat chunks were cut quite large but can still fit in your mouth. The lean meat cuts were tender despite being stringy, but the cuts that have some fat on them were just heavenly. With 1 portion of rice and a glass of hot tea, my meal only costed IDR 60k! An increasingly rare exemplar of a Jakartan shop that serves high quality food that has a really high performance-to-price ratio.

As a big fan of Jawa Timuran dishes, I would recommend this place. They have almost every favorite Jawa Timuran menus: sate, soto, tahu campur, tehu telor, rujak cingur, etc. Affordable price, authentic taste! Edit: today I tried their tahu campur and it was a blast! go try yourself 🤤

A one stop shopping for East Java culinary-hunter. Various soto menu, rawon, sate, and my favorite Tahu Telur (combination of egg and tofu with peanut sauce). Quick service, taste did not differ much compare my last visit in 2014. But parking was still limited.

This beef soup has been our family favorite for years. It has the best Soto Madura we've ever tried. The beef meat is generous and tender, the soup is very rich and yummy. The restaurant is very old and not very well maintained but the food keep us coming back for more 😊

Legendary Soto Surabaya have around for more than 40 years. Serving East Java food including Soto, Rawon, Rujak Cingur etc. The food taste is good, given in small serving and less salt you can add as pleased. The walls are filled with celebrities and dignitaries foto and hand written comments. The management has changed recently, the hospitality is not as before but still a great place to eat and reminiscing
