A rare survivor of the Dutch colonial era, this 1730 house was home to the area's governor-general.

Beautiful historical building from the colonial era. It houses only a coffee shop but for the rest its very empty and looks abandoned with most of the spaces closed off. It's a pity it isn't repurposed for something useful like a restaurant or museum like Cafe Batavia or Post Kantoor.

One of oldest buildings in the city. Built during the Dutch colonial days. Its is well preserved and now consists of several commercial offices including a cafe so its nice you can visit and enter its interior.

It’s a good experience to had lunch at one of the iconic Dutch colonial building. They have a spacious dining area and the room with full air condition is located at the first floor. The range of menu they have is not that much but hey when will you have a chance to have your meal inside historical building.

Had a drink to cool myself down at the cafe on the second floor. Quite surreal to have a moment to myself in this historical building built in 1730.

That's Toko Merah for you! 👍 The moment you step inside, you'll be amazed by the six to seven-meter high ceilings – it feels like it could host the most impressive wedding in a heartbeat! Sipping coffee here, you can feel the unique charm of old meets new.
