Pia Lao Beijing is one of the must-try halal spots in Glodok. I got the pia here for just Rp6,000 per piece. I recommend getting it to go because it's located in a narrow alley/small lane. They have lots of varieties, such as durian, green mung bean (kacang ijo), red bean (kacang merah), and more.
View on GoogleI got the kacamg hijau & durian, each for 6k. I wanted to try the sweet potato one, but it was sold out ;-;. I think for the price point and size, it's worth trying! The pia was served hot and crispy, so it's the type that's best to eat on the spot/on the day! It's a thinner style pia because they press it when they pan fry it (different from Jogja style pia). You can buy as many as you'd like. The filling isn't too sweet, for me I prefer it that way. I think it's a great snack/treat. Pair it with tea or coffee!! The location is in a small street alley, and you do have to walk quite further in if you're entering from the main road (right side as you're walking in). The first alley right next to Petak Enam. So it's not wheelchair friendly, and you don't really eat at the area because it can get quite cramped and hot. But worth a try!
View on GoogleThey have many different pia to choose from here. All are made fresh and are still warm when you purchase. Original, chocolate, cheese, and durian are just a few of the flavours, all for 6k each. Check out our channel for a full review of our experience: Hungry Two Travel.

Traditionally handmade with passion, you could smell the appetizing pia come to your mooth. Located in Kalimati alley in Pancoram Glodok, it could be a best destination to enjoy the Chinatown in Jakarta. Enjoy it.
