Here just to post menu supporting the others foodies 😅 What an unique experience the first time eating African dishes! The looks seems intimidating but the taste is mild compared to Padang dishes. A friend said maybe the taste is toned down for Indonesian, but I don't now.
View on GoogleThe place is very clean. I tried fufu with egusi, kailan, and the fried rice. For the fufu, i think cassava fufu is better than the wheat one because the cassava one tastes lighter. Egusi is good, but the kailan soup fits better for indonesian taste. There are 3 choices for protein (fried chicken, fried fish, and beef). The fried rice is just ok, not so special. I really recommend to try this for the experience🫶
View on GoogleGmaps Review Went here around 7pm on weekdays and a lot of their soup is already sold out or on last portion. The soup portion is huge although the meat (we chose chicken) is quite small. We weren’t aware that the chicken would have a very chewy texture but it tasted nice. Many of their menu is spicy so beware if you have low spice tolerance. Fufu: it’s minced cassava. The outside is kind of hard which makes the texture pleasant. But it will make you full quick. Better to have 1 portion of this if you’re used to rice. Egusi soup: the texture feels like tofu being minced very finely as soup. Okro soup: the broth is very thick like caramel. The vegetable (okra) tasted quite mild and stalky. In the broth, it has pieces of fish too. Kunu drink: this is a very viscous drink with strong ginger taste. Not recommend to have this with the soups since the soup is already very thick.
View on GoogleThis place is the go-to spot for quick, authentic African food. The food was flavourful and just a great combination of different textures. I personally preferred the wheat fufu to the cassava fufu due to the flavour and texture, but I think both were great, classic combinations with the stews. The meat was just a little bit tough, so I also preferred the fish and chicken to it. The stews were nicely flavoured, thick, and savoury. I find myself craving them from time to time because it is truly that memorable. African food is underrated, and it's a shame that it hasn't gotten that much recognition in Indonesia or Asian countries in general. The prices here were a bit high, but seeing as they use some important ingredients, and the portions were quite big, it's not so bad for the occasional treat. ⭐ 8.5/10 For more food reviews from all over the world, follow @allyeatsfood on Instagram! ❤️
View on GoogleIt's good, very good tastewise. The nsala soup taste very fishy, in a good way, and despite the waitress telling me it might be a little too hot it's still bearable. I'm just slightly miffed with the portion, definitely could have more catfish cuts here. Otherwise, you have to taste both zobo and kunu too! Zobo is a rosella drink with perfect sweetness and kunu is a super thick creamy drink with a slight hint of ginger that I think could pair well with a coffee
