The People's Cafe has great brand positioning in Indonesia market where people want to eat comfort food with friends or family in comfort place inside mall, not in "warung" or "kaki Lima" style. All the F&B are tasty, delicious, on point, and served quickly after order. The People's Cafe also serves 2 hero drinks from their sister company, Djournal Coffee, which are Orange Cold Brew + Sea salt matcha latte which are become my personal favourite as well. Keep up the great work, will come back again in the future :)

Ordered curry noodle and fried noodle kampong style. Happy with the fried noodle, its got that smoky aroma and great flavour. However, the curry noodle turned out to be using thick japanese curry style..and it is acceptable.

Flew in to Jakarta for a holiday, and saw that this cafe serves various traditional Indonesian street food. So, a visit was a must to satisfy my palate! (Especially because they serve Kopi Pandan Aren or coffee with Pandan flavour and coconut sugar!) Greeted by Indonesian friendliness, you make your way to a table of your choosing. The menu was tempting! So many childhood faves, and new ones like Cireng Goreng. We ended up ordering a few to indulge, and of course, their signature dish, Nasi Goreng (you can choose a few variants here). How did they taste? I think, for the price, they can do better. The really simple dishes (pisang goreng, tempe mendoan) were no issues for my palate, but the more complex ones like bubur ayam or siomay, can use a little more oomph. At the time of writing, Indonesia is on its way to becoming a cashless society, so be sure to have a card, because that's how you'll need to pay. The ambient is simple, but makes the statement about the uniqueness of this place. Some of the sayings on the wall were funny, they were also on the staff's t-shirt, e.g. "The coffee is too sweet? Stop looking at yourself on the mirror!" Cute, I thought! I give credit to the marketing team! Will I come back or recommend this place? Most likely no. The distance from Australia to Jakarta isn't going to cut it...haha..and I'd recommend it for the experience. Met makan!
