overrated on tiktok, theres better naspad restos in jakbar yet this one was the most famous one. are jakbar people’s taste is this bad? or are they a bunch of buzzers? ate rendang, tunjang (kikil), and jangek. rendang SUPER rubbery, dont let ur grandparents eat this. tunjang was also very tough and a bit smelly. somehow the jangek was also super tough, as if it didnt dry properly so it was hard as a rock. it wasnt that cheap either, id rather go to simpang raya or sederhana bundo which has better taste n softer meat for the same price. service was quick despite the long queue, i appreciate the staff’s service 👍 sad theres tukang parkir tho

Can’t believe it! Once we arrived at the restaurant, we were served with all the dishes without needing to order. They even gave us free tea as a welcome drink. The price is based on what you eat, so if you don't want a particular dish, just leave it, and it won’t be counted. The Air Jeruk is highly recommended, as it is very refreshing. Be aware that parking is a bit difficult, but there will be someone there to assist. All the staff are male, and it’s impressive how quickly they clean the tables. I’m truly amazed by the service, and the food is highly recommended

Rumah Makan Sinar Minang Daan Mogot is one of the long-established Padang restaurants in the area. The flavors are rich, bold, and very authentic, just as Padang food should be. The rendang and cincang are our family favorites — well-seasoned, aromatic, and consistently delicious. The sayur rames is also worth mentioning, as it’s cooked just right, not overcooked, and still full of flavor. Overall, this place is a reliable choice for classic Padang cuisine with consistent quality that has stood the test of time.

When it comes to good nasi padang in Jakarta, the options are aplenty but I always return to this restaurant because of how all the dishes here hit the all the sweet spots for me. The establishment has a simple setting that offers a no frills dine in experience, making it a popular food joint for the common people everyday who puts priority in taste above everything else. I had the chance to try so many dishes here throughout my visits but the highlight for me was their beef rendang. This particular dish stood out because of how savoury and how aromatic the bumbu rendang was. Similarly, I enjoyed their ayam gulai here because of how intense and rich the gulai was. Pair them with your rice and you get a delicious serving of nasi padang.
