If you’re craving both grill and mini shabu-shabu in one sitting, Bar B Q Plaza is the place. I’ve known Bar B Q Plaza since their very first opening in Jakarta, and until now, I still think they serve some of the best-tasting meat. The quality has always been consistent for me. The real star of the show? Their Thai dipping sauce. Seriously. That sauce is the highlight 😭 It’s savory, slightly tangy, a little garlicky, and just perfectly balanced. Once you dip the grilled meat into it… game over. What I love about this place is the concept — you can enjoy both grilling and mini shabu-shabu at the same time. So you get the best of both worlds: smoky grilled meat and comforting soup in one pan. If you’re a big eater, you can go for their AYCE package. But honestly, if you’re not eating that much, their set menu is already more than enough. The portions are generous and very satisfying. For me, it’s one of those reliable comfort spots. Not just because of the taste, but also because of the memories attached to it. Some restaurants come and go, but Bar B Q Plaza has really stood the test of time 🔥✨

The food is fairly good, but the service is extremely disappointing. The All You Can Eat menu is not self-service and must always be requested from the staff. The process is very slow while the time limit keeps running, which clearly disadvantage customer. Given the price, this level of service is completely unacceptable. At the end, when the staff offered ice cream, i asked if it could be taken to go. Instead, the staff responded that i could use my hands while gesturing with their palm. this behavior was highly unprofessional and inappropriate!

Used to go here almost every week years ago when they were still opened in Puri Indah Mall. Kinda forgot they existed but happened to stumble upon their familiar dragon statue in CP a few days ago and decided to give it another try. The concept’s definitely changed, they used to serve AYCE pork, beef, and lamb but now it’s more simple with only beef and chicken. Ate here on a random Wednesday at around 1/2pm when we saw there was a buy 2 get 1 promo for ladies. Took the cheapest set and came out to around 170k per pax (510k total). When we were about to get seated, the staff explained that the choice beef and some other menus were sold out, but after a while, the sold out menus were luckily ready to be ordered. The staff were also notably very friendly and patient when being asked about the menu selections. Considering the promo price, would definitely say it’s quite worth it. They have two main cuts of beef, the normal beef and the “choice” (no fats/lemak) beef. On top of that, there were three choices of sauce: no sauce, sweet and garlic soy. Personally liked the garlic soy the most. Other than that the choice beef was very meaty in flavour. Other dishes were standard, with choices for side dishes, vegetables, and desserts. They also had a sauce station where they provided their own BBQ sauce along with lime juice, garlic, etc. Overall was pretty good and it’s a solid halal AYCE option in Jakarta that (with promo) is under 200k per pax.

Went here for dinner on a weekend. We got their mid-tier gold package, which includes a limited AYCE menu for 90 minutes thai hotpot and grill all at once. The hotpot tomyum broth we chose was bland for lack of a better word, but it was easily remedied with the soup base of Mama instant noodles included in the menu and some other condiments from their sauce bar. Quality of meat and veggies was so so, but the giant roll cuts were so thin we ended up stir-frying it on the grill instead of flipping it. We waited for almost 30 minutes with 3 follow-ups to several different staffs for out dessert order. The same long wait occurred again when we asked for the bill.

Maybe must try to provide a mini game for children because all of customer is a family and they bring their children for dine in. So when children play a game they can enjoy the food.
