Came here yesterday because of NexCarlos' YT review after reviewing the Muara Karang branch, after visiting my in-law at Pluit Hospital immediately looked for the Jelambar branch. Shophouse location on the roadside, a bit hard to park cars. Ordered Red Fried Rice, Coto & Pisang Ijo yesterday The Coto genuinely tastes very Makassar according to my wife whose father is from Makassar😁 This Red Fried Rice is also SO good. Ordered the seafood and standard ones. The standard one is actually already very good. TOP. There is also Red Fried Rice in Surabaya, but it's different, this one is very delicious. Pisang ijo also tastes like Makassar, the skin is soft. Basically delicious. The price matches the taste.
View on GoogleThe place might be simple, but the taste of the food is truly top-tier. Taste: Fantastic and Authentic I ordered the Makassar-style Red Fried Rice (often called Makassar Fried Rice) and Fried Bihun. Red Fried Rice: It tastes absolute best! The red color is distinct, the seasoning is very pronounced, and the toppings are complete (egg, chicken meat, fish meatballs, and shrimp) which makes every bite rich in flavor. The fried rice is cooked to the right level of doneness, not too oily. Fried Bihun: The bihun is also delicious, cooked with a savory seasoning that absorbs perfectly. The bihun texture is chewy and not mushy, with an appetizing wok hei aroma. Price: Highly Matches Quality For Makassar signature menus like Red Fried Rice, the price ranges from Rp 48,000 - Rp 65,000 depending on the variant (chicken or complete seafood). The standard Fried Bihun menu is also around Rp 31,000 - Rp 34,500. This price range is very worth it with the filling portions and the quality of ingredients served. Kedai Makassar 77 is a must-try! The service is fast and the food is authentic. Suitable for a casual dinner.
