Grogol Bakmie Ayam is a no-frills, simple noodle eatery set on a porch with plastic chairs and long tables. The open kitchen adds to its casual charm. The noodles are well prepared and can be customized for hardness. They come with chicken and shallot leaves as toppings, served with a bowl of clear soup. The chicken is lean and nicely seasoned with thick soy sauce — not too salty, just right. The meatballs are also good. The place is quite clean, and the server is friendly. Parking is on the street and paid. Overall, it’s a simple and satisfying spot for a good bowl of noodles.

I ordered Bakmi Ayam Jamur and Kwetiau. The bakmi was tasty, and the kwetiau tasted fresh. Both were served with lime (jeruk sonkit) to squeeze on top, adds a nice fresh touch. On the table, there were jars of fried wontons and fried meatballs. Both were delicious, and the fried meatballs came with a special dipping sauce that really worked well.

The Mie Ayam Bakso Pangsit is huugeeee and the taste is pretty good, while the Es Campur has plentiful of topping, but could have been more sweet. Highly recommend, especially for its price.

For my taste bud, it is kinda bland, no taste. The noodle and the soup are too oily and the wonton fillings are too tiny. The price is standard but for this price there are better noodle choice in Jakarta.
