Best value for money padang resto. Make sure to make reservation on ramadhan season
View on GoogleI went to this famous Padang restaurant in BSD owned by Arief Muhammad. It's right next to a gas station, so you better enter from the gas station to avoid going against traffic. The food was okay, similar to other Padang restaurants. I tried the dendeng batokok lado merah, ikan salai, telor barendo (two eggs), and nasi rames. The dendeng was tasty and had a good texture, but the portion was a bit small. The sambal was not too spicy but had a rich flavor and was a bit oily. The ikan salai was super crispy with a layer of oily sambal on top. I could barely taste the meat, it was like eating slightly salty smoked crackers. The telor barendo was very thin, light, and crispy. It was quite enjoyable, but maybe choosing only one crispy dish from the menu would have been better. It tasted like a regular egg, but the texture was the best part.
View on GoogleThe food is great and we are having family lunch here with our mom as guest of honour as she doesn’t want to eat out except Padang’s food. We traveled quite far from Central Jakarta to meet with the rest of family. I have talua barendo, ayam pop, fish gulai, and krupuk jangek over gravy gulai. It’s yummy and delicious. The problem is the Aircon need to have some improvement so we can dine in comfortably tho.
View on Googlefinally made it here! tried their ayam pop that people say very good, but to me the ayam pop is quite bland, the sambal a bit salty and kuah gule was not impressive at all. idk. but the rice is so good, it is really the type of rice in padang.
View on GoogleThe taste was so n so, and unfortunately they ain't allow people to choose the menu freely for take away 'nasi bungkus'; Meaning take away menu for 'nasi bungkus' was limited. So, to choose menu freely, people better off dine in.
