When you enter the cafe, you can feel a calm atmosphere. The cashier was swiftly in place as if ready to serve customers. But no words were spoken. He only uses sign language. When visiting Sunyi, customers can learn sign language for free. All they have to do is approach the barista and say they want to learn. With the limitations they have, they can mix coffee or other orders that are displayed on the menu to pamper their taste buds. This can be seen from the customers who enjoy their concoction coffee

I thought with the name 'Sunyi Coffee' the cafe would be a silent one, but I was wrong, the music was loud but great nonetheless (they played old school popular songs). Maybe the music was so loud because the staff here are deaf (like literally disability-deaf), so it's nice to know that there is a place that is willing to hire them. The coffee was good and the atmosphere was cozy.

I really support this kind of equality. Very capable & friendly staffs, cozy place & taste good food & beverages with affordable price. They have very good sitting area, indoor & outdoor. The crowd just right every time we came to dine in, never to crowded. I do like their Nasi Goreng Kampung (spicy one). If you drive, better to get in via Brooklyn Apartment, because you can park your car after you take your parking ticket & try to find any parking spot in that alley. It's literally walking distance. Rather than park your car in the Yukata Apartment's basement. *Disclaimer: the review is based on my personal taste & experience at that time. So it might be differ from others opinion.

I have been wanting to come here for several months now and today i got the chance. This an unique coffee place, because most of the staffs are a person with disability (mute). So we can use sign language to communicate with them (they gave the guide for us). Even though the price is a bit high, but i love the drinks. Love it and would definitely come back again

The cafe, which offers a unique value of empowering those who are born with disability, is a great social experiment which needs an encouragement and wider acceptance, and of course support from general public. Their cafe is spacious, you can choose to sit in 1st or 2nd floor, or in their patio. You are encouraged to interact with the barista using sign language, but if you cant, no worries, you can order with pointing at the menu. Their coffee is good, albeit oversweet to my taste
