19/6/26 Google Review (English Translation): We arrived at the villa in Citorek at 7:30 PM after touring from Jakarta via Jasinga. The ride was quite comfortable, although there were some damaged road sections in a few areas. Unfortunately, we were unable to fully enjoy all of the beautiful landscapes along the route because it got dark before we arrived.
View on Googleyou must arrive before 6am so you can still see more clouds. To get more personal photos it's better to go during workdays, if you can 😇. Be sure your motorcycle has enough gas as it's difficult to find gas station nearby.
View on GoogleThough the view is not as spectacular as Bromo but still worth visiting since it's located near Jakarta. Besides, access to Citorek is easy, mostly concrete road but in good condition.
View on GoogleFirst of all, this place really isolated. So if travelers thinking about "oh i will put my belonging in the inn first and then go to nearby town to strolling around" just forget it. The nearby big town almost 3 hours away from this spot. Second, don't expect to get an appropriate inn (aircon, shower, breakfast etc). Around IDR 250-350K travelers only get a small room and some pillows and a mattress...bathroom? Go outside and pay more. Third, for now, on summer, there's so much dust from road construction...call it dessert if you will...it's hard to breath the-actually-fresh air...the weather is cool but not cold at mid-day/noon and get pretty cold at night-morning. I tell you this...go on weekdays, from jakarta, depok, bogor or tangerang (mostly visitors come from these cities and use it as starting point) at 3 AM so travelers can see the magnificent view at 6-7 AM (but apparently, the road from bogor to gunung luhur through jasinga isn't completely safe at midnight to dawn)....after that...not much to see, only dusty air. For now, DON'T GO on WEEKENDS. But hopefully this place will be better and be more tourist-friendly in the future.
View on GoogleIt's one of the best mountain peak overlooking a cloudy view beneath it. At the time I visited the view wasn't clear as there's raining. The best time to go there to see the best view is in mid-year.
