It was actually a fun little find. I’d been craving a Hong Kong / Malaysian-style claypot, and then I came across this place, so of course the claypot was the main reason I came. The claypot was savory, comforting, and definitely hit the spot. The toppings were decent—not especially loaded, but still enough to make it a satisfying comfort meal. I also tried the porridge, and that was the only dish that felt a bit underwhelming for me. I was hoping for something closer to the porridge I’ve had in Malaysia or Hong Kong, with crispy youtiao, ginger slices, and cilantro to round it out. But that’s just my personal preference. The à la carte dishes were good too, both in terms of flavor and presentation. The place itself has a modern, cozy exterior that makes it feel quite inviting. Price-wise, I’d say it’s a little on the expensive side for this category, but overall the meal was satisfying enough that I still left happy.
View on GoogleWe were quite disappointed with our experience here. The appetizer, which should have been served first, came after our main dishes had already been served and we were already in the middle of eating. It wasn’t an extremely long wait, but the timing was still odd since we had already started eating our mains. We even told the staff that we wanted to cancel the appetizer since it hadn’t arrived yet, especially after hearing them communicate with the kitchen about it. However, the appetizer still came afterward. We also ordered the nasi goreng XO, but unfortunately, it wasn’t quite what we expected from a typical XO fried rice, and it was a bit too salty. The rest of the food was just ok. It could simply be that the dishes we ordered weren’t their best, but overall, we were disappointed with the experience. We came in expecting good-quality food with great taste, so unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet our expectations.
View on GoogleVibrant color , well maintained and clean. What do you need more ???? Price ? Decent and the portions ? Good. They quite generous in the portion of the sharing meals. I can’t deny their taste and cook were good. Definitely come back again !!!!
View on GoogleThe place is cozy, the interior is colorful & fun! I tried their DIY claypot and everything tasted good
View on GoogleThe meals here are exquisite. From the wide range of menu, to the actual feel on your tastebuds. Though do note that they specialize in hot plate dishes, and so you have to note that before embarking on a journey to dine here. I ordered bone marrow and it was superb. Though the meat itself was kinda stringy and chewy, it was overall still okay. I’d personally rate this restaurant a 9/10. Would definitely recommend, especially those who love Pepper Lunch.
