Came here for dinner for two around 7 PM on a Sunday, and luckily there was no wait! We loved the atmosphere on the first floor, but it was fully packed, so we were seated upstairs on the second floor. We ordered the Kaisendon and the Unagi butteryaki plain without the butter, and the food arrived surprisingly quick! The Unagi butteryaki was excellent definitely our favorite and highly recommended! The Kaisendon was fresh, but we felt the rice was overcooked and mushy. The dashi stock also didn’t quite have the depth of flavor we were expecting and could use a little more refinement. I would prefer to just have the kaisendon as it is. Overall, we had a great dining experience. The service was fast, the ambiance was lovely, and we’d definitely come back to try more dishes from the menu.

I had such an amazing dining experience at Kamono. Every single dish we ordered was absolutely satisfying and beautifully executed. The Kaiseki Kaisen Don was incredibly generous with its assorted fresh sashimi - thick cuts, super fresh, and perfectly balanced over rice. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The Unagi Butteryaki is an absolute must-order. The butter was wonderfully fragrant, elevating the rich, well-seasoned unagi without overpowering it. It was indulgent yet perfectly balanced. Kamono’s Signature Duck truly lived up to its name. The texture was spot on - tender with just the right bite - and the pairing with mustard complemented the flavors beautifully. The Kamogawa Handroll and Engawa Nigiri were just as impressive. The combination of salmon, hotate, and foie gras was luxurious and harmonious, while the engawa was buttery and melt-in-your-mouth good. To finish, the matcha latte was smooth and comforting - the perfect way to end the meal. Service was quick, the ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff were genuinely friendly and attentive throughout. Highly recommended - I’ll definitely be back.

Great bar style kaisendon restaurant. Tried alot of their menu. Liked them all. The fish is flavorful, the rice hits the spot and the soup is warming and smooth. Would recommend their toro negi wrap 👍. Price is quite decent compared to their quality.

The food was great, the cooks made sure the food was served with great detail on the plate. The sashimi are amazing. But for me the services are bad, the waiter seems to have too many tasks doesn't really observe the customer, i have it very hard to order and reorder. The atmosphere is trying to replicate japanese resto but surely doesn't research well enough, it doesn't have a place to put a bag or luggage. They surely need a lot of improvements.

Really glad we didn’t have to queue despite coming in for dinner. This place has limited seats due to its space so idk I guess we were quite lucky. We tried their smoke duck, chicken nanban, and kaisendon ochazuke. Smoke duck was decent. Chicken nanban caught me off guard as their tartar sauce seems slightly different than what I was used to but it was still delicious. The chicken was also really juicy and flavorful. Kaisendon was great as well, but I wasn’t the biggest fan of the ochazuke broth (or ochazuke in general). But yeah thats probably just me and my texture issues. Overall I liked the intimate ambiance and the food. Glad we came :)
