This is my second attempt visiting this place. Portion of the food is quite generous especially the fried vegetables. Service staff was really polite. The food presentation was not bad. Overall quite disappointed with the food. The Strawberry milkshake does not even taste any strawberry but milk with cream and a dash of strawberry jam on top. Sushi rice was too wet like mushy lump. Salmon head was blend. Lastly, the spicy noodle was overcooked and drenched with what tasted like starchy Maggie mee seasoning. Now, I remembered why I didn't rate on my first visit.

Yuimaru Japanese Restaurant offered a delightful experience with fresh and flavorful Gyoza, Shima Sushi, and Tori Katsu Don, making it a highly recommended spot for authentic Japanese cuisine. The quality and taste truly stood out.

Visited Yuimaru Japanese Restaurant in North Point BSD, lured in by its impressive 4.8 Google rating. Maybe I came on a bad day… or maybe we’re not rating the same restaurant. Service was good, the staff were friendly and attentive. The place was clean and comfortable. But then Bon Jovi’s Livin’ on a Prayer started playing, and that’s when I realized: this might not be your average Japanese dining experience. The food? The wasabi looked tired and flavorless, like it had seen better days. The Tori Collagen Ramen had decent broth and a well-cooked egg, but the noodles were overdone and the chicken had all the personality of boiled tofu. The sushi? It reminded me of the kind you get from a mall kiosk, rice that wasn’t even sushi rice, and an overall lack of finesse. Only the chicken karaage salad stood out as “pretty okay.” Crispy and seasoned decently, though still nothing memorable. In short: Nice concept, good service, but the food misses the mark on too many details. I truly hope they improve, because the potential is there. But for now, it’s a no from me. Why? You can get their food, with the same quality with only a third of their pricing.

we eat here with a family (6) for lunch. we have a great time here .. the fact that not that crowded and there’s a giant bear near the xmas treee where my kids love to take picture. The sushi ebi mentai was great. Chawan musi is my fave. Spicy collagen ramen turns out not that spicy as i expected to be.The backsound were playing the 90s top hits which i love it so much. Quite entertaining for me while waiting for the food to be served. Matcha latte nya juga enaaakk
