Really enjoyed the dim sum here. The food was tasty, and I appreciated that they offer morning discounts, which makes it even better value. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and a place I’d happily come back to.

I’ve been coming to Maystar Restaurant since before Covid, back when the Navapark area was still being developed, and I’m really glad they’ve stayed consistent over the years. This Chinese restaurant is pork-free and lard-free. The restaurant is comfortable and nicely located inside a high-end sports club area in BSD, giving it a calm and upscale vibe. Their dimsum is quite good, and the main courses are also enjoyable and satisfying. They also have an outdoor seating area, and I really appreciate that it’s non-smoking, making it comfortable for families. Don’t forget to check their Instagram, as they often post promotions and discounts there. Definitely a solid spot for casual dining or family meals. 👍

After trying several restaurants, this has become my favorite spot for Chinese food. One of my top picks here is the Ma Ma Fried Rice—absolutely delicious! Today, I came for their dim sum, which is on a 50% promotion. I ordered the Siew Mai Special with its meaty chunks of prawns, Lo Mai Kai, Cheong Fun wrapped with crispy youtiao (the sauce that comes with it is excellent), beancurd skin wrapped with prawns, salted egg yolk bao with a perfectly runny filling, Kuchai dumplings (though these had too little chives and not much flavor), pan-fried carrot cake, and Shanghai pan-fried chicken buns. We were so full that we had to pack two untouched items to go. While the prices may be on the higher side, you can really see the quality and generous portions in every dish.

The price can get really expensive but they often have discounts. My first time here a few years ago, I paid using a credit card promotion. Second time here (earlier today), they had the 50% discount for all dimsum (only at 8-10 AM & 3-5 PM, only till the end of June 2025). Dimsum was great, but frankly speaking I’ve tasted better halal dimsum than this. Not that it’s bad though, it was alright. I don’t know if it’s just this branch or what, but I haven’t been to other Maystar and I don’t think it lives up to its reputation. Service was awesome, the staff were responsive and on standby although some of the orders came a bit late & one waitress looked like she was having a bad day (read: RBF lol) or something—but she still worked professionally, so all good.

Resto is located inside Nava Park. Near the sport clubs / pool / park. All 2.5K. They gave out 1mio worth of discount, never got the chance to redeem it. The crown is black pepper beef. They mix it with potatoes so the meat is half the portion seen. XO carrot cake & bean curd spring rolls are wonderful tho. Others are good. The prawn sauce is so good, but the prawn itself is not a crunchy/crystal one, they got sand-like texture. Too bad.
