⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ **7.5/10** Tried **Gaise Brunch & Bistro BSD** for dinner on a rainy evening. We arrived around 8 PM when it was pouring heavily, so luckily the place wasn't too crowded. I've heard it can get quite busy during brunch hours and weekends. First impression: really nice ambiance. The place is bright, clean, spacious, and has a cozy modern feel. I can easily see why it's popular for WFC, casual meetups, and especially for pet owners since it's pet-friendly. 🍽️ **What we ordered:** **Nasi Goreng Hitam with Pork Belly** The nasi goreng uses their signature black seasoning and comes with sambal matah kecombrang. Flavor-wise it was decent, but personally I found it a little too salty. The pork belly was also fattier than I prefer. Still enjoyable, just not something I'd specifically come back for. **7/10** **Tiger Prawn Olio** The pasta was quite tasty overall, with a nice kick from the chili flakes. However, similar to the fried rice, it felt slightly over-seasoned for my taste. The tiger prawns were also a bit overcooked, so they lost some of their natural sweetness and juiciness. **7.5/10** Overall, I think Gaise shines more because of its atmosphere than the food. The food was good, but not particularly memorable on this visit. That said, the comfortable setting, pet-friendly concept, and relaxing vibe make it a place I'd still consider revisiting, perhaps to try some of their other menu items. A solid spot to hang out, bring your furry friends, or spend a few hours working over coffee. ☕🐶🐱

Food was amazing, portion was good, and everything came fresh. Love the interior and the atmosphere, very pet friendly

I honestly found the food pretty average, and quite overpriced for the quality. The steak was tough, the pork skin wasn’t crispy and was also hard to chew, and the coffee tasted very ordinary. The waiting time for the food was also extremely long. At one point, the staff even brought my order to the table, then took it back because it was meant for another table, which made me wait even longer for my food. The restaurant itself is on the second floor of the building, while the toilet is downstairs outside the restaurant area, so it was quite inconvenient having to leave the restaurant and go up and down the stairs just to use the restroom. The toilet was also dirty. It’s a pet-friendly place, so there were quite a lot of dogs around, and it got very noisy when they kept barking at each other for quite a while. The place itself is also pretty small. The dogs were also allowed to sit and run around on the sofas, and you could see dog fur floating around. I don’t hate dogs at all, but personally I felt uncomfortable thinking about dog fur getting into my food or sticking to the sofa where customers sit. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t come back again.

The food tastes good. The service is also good. But if you can't eat spicy, might want to make sure with the waiter to put the bbq sauce on the side, because it has too much blackpepper in it (in my opinion) which makes it so spicy. Should have stated it in the meny. We had to take it away as my family couldnt eat spicy food. But overall the meat is tender. That's why i still give 5 star for the food. Other than this, would come back to try other menus.

pet-friendly place with good food! i ordered the nasi goreng hitam with pork belly, and it exceeded my expectation. will definitely come back
