The rica flavors are bold, fresh, and super authentic Manado-style. The grilled fish was perfectly cooked, sambalnya spicy in the best way, and the warm atmosphere made the whole dining experience even better. Definitely one of the best spots in BSD for comfort food with true Indonesian flavors, specially manadonese. Will keep coming back for different menu
View on GoogleCurrently our hidden-gem for Manado Cuisine. Because not many Manado Restaurant provide the Mujair-fish from Tondano-Lake. Not a single food we ordered fail! Remind us a lot of the real Manado cuisine in Manado. Even the Red-bean ice tasted superb. We will definitely return here!
View on GoogleThe Woku Soup was perfectly seasoned and very flavorful. The Tuna Jaw with Sambal Rica was outstanding and definitely the highlight of the meal. The Bamboo Clams with Padang Sauce were also delicious. However, the stir-fried papaya flowers were a bit too salty for my taste, while the sweet soy chicken was fairly average and didn't stand out compared to the other dishes.
View on GoogleDelicious authentic Manadonese dishes in a spacious, clean and nice ambience. Good for family lunch and dinner, various choices of food and drink, price is quite reasonable.
View on GoogleThe food here tastes authentic. The seasoning is just right, not too mild, and the cooking style is spot-on. The sambal is a standout, especially the sambal roa. Overall, everything we ordered was delicious: - Grilled Squid: Tender and easy to chew. - Grilled Mujair: Not too small, still meaty. The seasoning was great, and it wasn’t overcooked, so you can enjoy every part of the fish. - Perkedel jagung: Absolutely delicious! Crispy with the perfect seasoning, dominant corn flavour, and just the right level of doneness. - Pisang Goroho: Good portion and perfectly cooked, although the cut is a bit thick for our taste .. we prefer thinner slices. - Tinutuan: Really tasty! The portion is small, but the seasoning is spot-on and feels authentically Manado. The presentation is also nice, with kemangi as a topping, so you can easily take them out if you’re not a fan. However, there’s not much vegetable, and the kangkung is a bit lacking. - Kangkung Bunga Pepaya: This was the only dish we didn’t like as much. The seasoning was fine, but the kangkung was a bit disappointing. It felt overcooked, possibly because the leaves are quite thin here. The papaya flower was good, but the kangkung was cut too long, making it awkward to eat. The place is spacious with indoor and outdoor seating options. Since it’s located in The Barn, parking is secure. It’s busy but not overly crowded, and the prices are affordable, although the rice is a bit pricey compared to other places. Service is fast and friendly. Overall, we’ll definitely come back!
