Tanah Lot is an absolute must-visit when you are in Bali, and heading there early in the morning is the best way to experience it. We arrived by 7:30 AM to beat the massive tourist crowds, which allowed us to take beautiful, peaceful photos without anyone else in the frame—highly recommended if you prefer tranquility over the famous sunset rush. There is an entrance fee, and we paid around 400,000 IDR total for two adults, two kids, our driver, and the car. From the entrance, it is a scenic 5 to 10-minute walk down to the coast, and you will likely be accompanied by plenty of friendly local dogs along the way. Seeing the ancient temple perched perfectly on that small, isolated rock formation out in the ocean is absolutely breathtaking and leaves you wondering how it was ever built. Going early is well worth the wake-up call to experience this architectural marvel in peace.

Beautiful to visit during sunset. Worth the travel time taken to reach there. Along with the market, the temple, the sunset, the waters, the views, you can easily spend a few hours here. We were lucky to cross over to the temple area without the waters across. As we were returning, the tide increased and it became risky to cross back.

A Balinese Hindu temple right off the coast, the temple grounds are restricted for prayer only, therefore we wasn't allowed to enter. Nonetheless it was a great visit, went during the afternoon around 2-3pm, was not very crowded, entrance fee per pax was 75,000 idr. We walked along the shore for around an hour, low tide at the time, the atmosphere is really nice, took some pictures, partake in a little ceremony, drank the holy water, great experience overall. Gojeks aren't allowed past the entrance gate, so I recommend booking one from the convenience marts outside the entrance gate.

Tanah Lot is absolutely beautiful. The ocean view is stunning, the waves are powerful, and the whole place feels magical—especially when the light is nice. Walking around the temple area and just watching the sea instantly made me feel calm. I’m really happy I came here. It’s one of those Bali spots that truly feels special and worth visiting.

It was one of the best experiences for weekend! Such a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. The ticket price is affordable — only 75,000 IDR — and the whole area is clean, tidy, and well organized. There are many souvenir shops and places to eat with reasonable prices as well The sunset here is absolutely incredible and definitely one of the highlights of the visit. The ocean view, temple atmosphere, and sound of the waves create such a special vibe. Perfect place to spend a few relaxing hours and enjoy the beauty of Bali 🤍
