AMARTA Penida was one of the nicest surprises of our time in Nusa Penida. The place itself is beautiful, starting with its traditional Balinese-style entrance and continuing with absolutely spectacular panoramic views over the sea, the surrounding islands and, in the distance, the coast of Bali. The infinity pool overlooking the ocean makes the setting even more special, and guests can use it while spending time here. The water could have been a little cleaner during our visit, but this was a minor detail in an otherwise excellent experience. And most importantly: the food is genuinely excellent, not just something secondary to the views. I ordered the Mie Goreng and it was absolutely delicious — full of flavour, beautifully served with egg, chicken satay, crackers and accompaniments. After trying many Indonesian dishes during our trip, I would easily put this Mie Goreng among my top three of the entire holiday. The rest of the family chose burgers, which were also very good and generously served. Service deserves a special mention. Everyone was extremely friendly, attentive and professional. We needed a taxi back to our hotel afterwards, and the staff arranged everything for us immediately and with a smile. Beautiful surroundings, incredible views, excellent food and genuinely warm hospitality. AMARTA is much more than a restaurant with a view — it is a place worth visiting in its own right. I had a fantastic experience here. The food was delicious every single time—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. But what really made this place special was the service, especially from Kadek. He was incredibly kind in a way that felt completely genuine. It never felt like he was just being polite because it was his job—his warmth and positive energy came straight from the heart. You could immediately tell that he truly enjoys making his guests feel welcome. When he found out that I was going scuba diving for the first time, he took the time to share his favorite dive sites around Nusa Penida and gave me some great local recommendations. He was helpful without ever being pushy, and I really appreciated that. People like Kadek are the reason you remember a place long after you’ve left. Thank you for the amazing hospitality, the great conversations, and of course the excellent food. I would happily come back the next time I’m in Nusa Penida!

Had a lovely dinner here with my husband. The food was excellent, the cocktails were just as good, and the cozy ambiance made for a wonderful evening. The service was top-notch as well ! Special thanks to Mila, who looked after our table and made sure everything was perfect. 10/10, would definitely recommend! One tip: make a reservation in advance, as it can get quite busy during peak season.

Amarta is such a wow place! The moment I arrived, I felt like I wasn’t in Nusa Penida anymore, but somewhere completely different. The scenery and atmosphere are absolutely beautiful. I can only imagine how stunning it would be during sunset. Unfortunately, I came a bit earlier, but I’m sure the view at sunset would be even more amazing. I will definitely come back next time and make sure to visit during sunset hours. I came here with my best friend, who was actually the one who recommended this place. At first, I was a little hesitant because of some previous reviews I had read, but after experiencing it myself, I can honestly say that everything was great. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the staff were very friendly. A special thank you to Kadek and Diah for their excellent hospitality. They were warm, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Diah, you are the best! I noticed how well you connected with guests, and your English is excellent. You are so friendly and professional. What a brilliant location to watch the sunset. The venue has a fantastic vibe and ambience and the layout is beautiful, making it the perfect place to relax and take it all in. We had booked seats to enjoy sunset cocktails and after soaking up the incredible views asked if we could be relocated so we could stay for dinner. The staff were incredibly accommodating and were so grateful they were, because the food was absolutely amazing. As wonderful as the location, drinks and food were, what truly made this experience unforgettable was the service. It was simply impeccable and that was thanks to the maestro behind it all Kadek. Kadek’s attention to detail and genuine passion for hospitality were a pleasure to watch. The way he leads and brings the entire team together to ensure every guest receives the same exceptional experience is a testament to his talent. His enthusiasm and commitment to making every guest feel welcome and well looked after really stood out. Thank you Kadek and the entire team, for making our evening so special.
