We chose this place for the grilled dishes and were not disappointed. We visited twice, and both times the food was consistently delicious. The meat and fish were perfectly cooked, tender, and juicy. We don’t eat bread or rice, and the staff kindly replaced the sides with vegetables without any problem, which we really appreciated. The view creates a lovely atmosphere, and although the restaurant is next to the road, the traffic wasn’t disturbing. The only disappointment was the apple crumble, which unfortunately didn’t taste fresh. Small downside, especially for non-smokers, is that smoking is allowed in the outdoor seating area, so cigarette smoke from nearby tables can affect the dining experience. Apart from that, we really enjoyed our meals and would happily return.

I’m not sure why this spot gets so much criticism. At Mama Mia Bar & Grill, I found it was more about the laid-back atmosphere and the views than anything over the top, and that made the stop feel worthwhile. Even just coming in for drinks worked for me, since they were genuinely good and the whole place had an easygoing vibe. The food also seemed to lean into that simple, enjoyable style.

We were driving past and stopped to enjoy the views of the seaweed farms. After being shown the menu, we discovered that our favourite Indonesian dessert, dadar gulung, is known as dadar unti on this island, so of course we had to order it! The staff were warm, welcoming and lovely throughout our visit, and the setting overlooking the seaweed farms was beautiful. I was especially grateful that we could walk down and see the seaweed farms up close rather than just from a distance. It gave us a much greater appreciation of this important local industry and was one of the highlights of our time on the island. My unexpected guide, a friendly dog, made me look closer and I discovered little fishes and craps in the pools of water 🙂 The only disappointment was the dadar unti itself. It was missing the distinctive pandan flavour that makes this traditional dessert so enjoyable. Instead, the pancake was an unusual shade of green that seemed more like food colouring than natural pandan, which made it feel less authentic than expected. The wonderful staff and beautiful location made the visit worthwhile. We just wish the dadar unti had lived up to the setting.

Probably my best meal on the island. I was craving seafood and this place delivered so well. Good portions, fresh tasting ingredients, and staff were awesome. Had the crab, tuna tatami, and king prawns. Feasted like a king! All for about 400k Highly recommend. Great meeting spot if some friends are on Lembongan and some on Ceningan.

The only good thing in this place is the view. I asked for a smoothie bowl at 11:40. They didn’t accept the order because it belongs to the breakfast which finish at 11:30. So I ordered a mix fruit juice banana + mango, without ice. It was so full of water that i couldn’t feel the flavor. I told them, so they put more banana. But honestly, it looked more like a package juice, not fresh. The service was not good at all. And in the end I paid more 15% from service tax? What?!!! Which service? There are so many nicer restaurants around!
