We found this local Warung on our last night in Sidemen and were greeted with a spectacular view and a warm and informative welcome from the owner. The food was worth the wait, however we could see that other customers were more impatient than us. We went down to the amazing supermarket or tardis and were surprised to see the owner at the till! A wonderful experience at the end of our stay in Sidemen. We do hope to come back with our family. For very good quality, authentic Balinese food and Arak cocktails treat yourself to this place! It’s worth it.
View on GoogleThis place is great! The view here is absolutely bonkers! They could be charging an arm and a leg for a view like this! But they don't, the price here is very good. It's basically half price if you are coming from Uluwatu. We went twice during our weekend in Sideman. The service can be slow if they are busy or whatever, but you're on island time, just relax and enjoy the view.
View on GoogleThe view alone puts this place as one of the best spots for food. But then, you add on the amazing service, and the excellent food, at a super affordable price and I wish I came here every day! We came a little after sunrise and we were so happy we did. Then we came back later in the day for lunch. Everything was top notch. The view is incredible when Agung is clear.
View on GoogleWe didn’t originally plan to take a cooking class here. We first came for dinner, and everything was amazing: the view was stunning, the food was delicious, and the chef was so kind and welcoming. When we found out they also offered cooking classes, we asked if he had availability for the next day at lunch time. We ended up cooking six Balinese specialties with Chef Sinu (Ryan). We were welcomed by his son, who served us a delicious mocktail before the class. We then spent almost two and a half hours in the kitchen learning how to cook fish in banana leaves (pepes), prepare the Balinese sauce used as the base for many dishes, and discover new recipes and techniques. We absolutely loved it and had far more food than we could eat! It was such an incredible and human experience, with beautiful views over the rice fields and surrounding mountains. We would highly recommend both the restaurant and the cooking class to anyone visiting Sidemen.
View on GoogleAbsolutely amazing view of the volcano and rice terraces! Good service although slightly slow but very kind staff. Food was great - chicken silik (chicken mince on lemongrass skewer) - amazing. The mains were also very good but the chicken in the tom yum could have been cooked better. Arak cocktail had a smoky taste which i didn’t like but my partner did. Overall we had a lovely experience :)
